[y/n] [l/n] was not social at all in high school. She was a quiet kid that did the work, wanting to move on. She was boring to some, but most didn't even register her being there.

"Eh? [y/n]-san?" Lev snaps [y/n] out of her trance.

Lev was [y/n]'s only company, this was because [y/n]'s family was friends with Lev's. This was mostly because they were neighbors. Lev was nice to have around sometimes, though it was annoying to [y/n] when he got a little too loud.

"Sorry about that, Lev-kun. What did you need?"

Lev sheepishly laughs, "I forgot what our homework was for [least favorite subject]!"

[y/n] sighs, giving him an extra she had because she knew this was going to happen. Lev was really good at forgetting things, it happened more often ever since he joined the volleyball club.

"Hey, [y/n]-san! Want to see me play in a practice match after—"

"No." [y/n] replies.

Ever since he joined, Lev has been trying to convince [y/n] to watch him practice. [y/n] didn't really want to go, mostly because she didn't really like getting attention. Lev would most definitely attract lots of attention to her. Though, it's not like he already does.

"Just one? Please!" Lev pleads.

[y/n] shakes her head, there was no way that Lev was going to convince her.

"I'll do anything you want! For real!"

[y/n] turns, "You mean anything?"

Lev nods his head in response.

"Okay."

~~~~~
Now, [y/n] was watching Lev practice with the rest of his teammates. They were surprised that he brought a girl, but the surprise slowly wore off.
Though, Kuroo was still thinking. As soon as he saw [y/n], he was entranced. She was lovely, like a flower, but she seemed out of his world. When he introduced himself to her, she acknowledged him. Though, that was it. Kuroo wanted to have more. More attention.
He knew that he wasn't the one that brought her here. He knew he stood no chance, she didn't even know him until 30 minutes ago. Kuroo was thinking, how lucky Lev was to be close with [y/n]. He would have never had guessed they were even close.
Kuroo could see, [y/n] probably liked Lev. It was frustrating, but he had no say in it. He  couldn't be with her. She already had someone else in mind. Even after that practice, Kuroo was thinking. Thinking about how [y/n] changed everything for him.
~~~~~

Kuroo was thinking. Thinking about what she was like. Maybe he should visit her sometimes. It had been a few years. A few years after he graduated, Lev announced to the rest of the team (during a reunion) on how he and [y/n] were engaged. Everyone congratulated him, but Kuroo couldn't help but feel sad.

Kuroo knew the first time he saw her, he had no chance. So, why were these feelings coming back? He never had a chance. It is confusing, how love could mess you up. Kuroo couldn't help but wish maybe [y/n] and him could have a chance.

But who was he kidding? [y/n] and Lev are happy together with their two kids. Kuroo is just a popular volleyball player, who's all alone. Kuroo thinks and sulks. He had been doing a lot of thinking. Though, one thing has never changed.

His love for [y/n].
