The Truth

Natsu woke up to the silence of the house. He thought that yesterday was just a dream until he felt movement beside him. He opened his eyes to see Lucy curled up, her head on his chest. His heart soared at the sight of her cute face, slight bit of drool came from her mouth as soft snores came from the sweet girl next to him. He started to fall back asleep but was woken up by his phone.
He looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Gray. He gently moved Lucy off of him and quietly walked into the other room to answer the call.
"What's up Gray? Why are you calling so early?" Natsu whispered into the phone.
"Did you forget the school that was coming for a visit today? They're going to be here for three days remember?" Gray replied.
Nashi woke up in the other room and went to walk out when she heard someone talking. She cracked the door open and just saw her father with a phone pressed against his ear.
"What school was it again? Carol High?"
"Carol High? That's our school! I forgot about the field trip! Kinu! Kinu wake up!" Nashi whisper-yelled to her sleeping friend.
"Why? It's too early!" Kinu groaned.
"Remember that field trip you were so excited about? It's today!"
"Today?!" Kinu yelled and jumped out of bed only to remember where we were. Nashi tried to shush her friend but it was too late, Natsu had already heard Kinu yell and was heading over to their room. He opened the door to find Nashi sitting on Kinu and Kinu trying to push her off. He chuckled at the girls.
"So you guys lived in Carol huh? If I would have known that I would have left to live with you guys." He said with a laugh. "If you want to see your classmates you can come with me back to the guild after we wake your mom up."
"Okay!" Nashi yelled and ran to her mom who woke up to the loud talking.
"Mommy! Mommy! Can we go to the guild today, please?" Nashi begged her mom and, after giving Natsu the stink eye, nodded her head yes.
