Tips of the Day are not articles, just short pieces of advice I'll be posting when they come to me.
We should always, always keep a backup of our work. And this means before and after we post it to Wattpad.
Google drive is one option for this. It is free and it a great place not only to keep backups, but to draft work on the go, since it also gives us offline options for those moments when our connection fails us or to keep a backup of what we are working on.
But just keeping a copy on and external hard drive as well as our computer is better than nothing.
⛔Never keep a story only in one place.
Technology is fickle.
📀Wattpad is an amazing platform with millions of users, but even Wattpad has glitches and bugs every now and then. 📀Our phones and computers sometimes do strange things and information is lost. 📀If one online service disappears suddenly, and our work is only there, what would we do?
It may be a one in a million chance, but what if our work vanished without trace? It would be devastating. Hence keep at least one backup somewhere at all times.
