"Mom, just stop. Considering the circumstances, I understand why Y/N couldn't come." She sat me down and put my hands in hers. "I'm really sorry about what happened Y/N. You were closer to him than any of us. I can't imagine what you're going through."
I give her a warm smile "You were his daughter as much as I was".
