Chapter 19 ~ THE MUD FIGHT

The only thing Nandini could utter was
"Manik"

"Hmm"
hummed Manik

"I'm tired. Can we stop fighting please. I just want to get out of here."
said Nandini and as she said tears made their way from her eyes.

Manik who was just staring at her eyes knowing the pain she was going through he came closer cupped her cheeks wiping the mud he whispered
"Do you trust me Nandini?"

In a trance Nandini said
"Hmmm"

Hearing her Manik smiled a little and said
"Then trust me I will take you out of here. You don't have to worry just relax. Hmm.? I just need your support."
and saying this he planted a soft kiss on her forehead and in anticipation Nandini just closed her eyes. Feeling the moment the care and comfort his closeness gave her was beyond everything. And she couldn't stop herself from desiring for more of it. Nandini has always suffered the hurt and pain but when she is with Manik she just forgets everything and she feels some different sort of comfort the thing which she always craved all her life since the time her parents left her she was lost soul devoid of all sort of happiness but with Manik she feels different and moreover she felt content and happy. But her mind made her confused with the fact that she loves Arjun. Somewhere she knew this is what she wants but her heart was still not ready to accept knowing that she is bound to Arjun.

MaNan were again lost into each other's eyes as if the world has just stopped right there in that moment itself. They were so lost in each other's eyes that it looked like they were reading through that the inner turmoil the other one was going through. Somewhere they knew the other one is not okay. Although the only thing they do is fight but in these moments they just everthing and these moments have always gave them the much needed comfort they always craved for.

While MaNan were lost suddenly it started raining washing away all the mud from their clothes. But Manik as a gentleman started caressing Nandini's face softly to clean the mud off it. Nandini came out of the trance and she noticed Manik and his actions she didn't knew what she must do so she also started cleaning his face softly when he was done. And they moved away suddenly feeling awkward in the moment. But soon Manik realised that Nandini she was shivering due to cold and rain so he said

"I think we should go inside. You're not okay."
said Manik

"Hmm"
hummed Nandini

And with this MaNan headed towards the hut and as soon as they went inside what they saw was an empty room full of dry bushes and logs of wood kept there after looking all around the room they gave a look to each other. Manik moved further to see if there's anyone staying but there was no one. Nandini also took slow steps as she was shivering out of cold and also she was wet. Realising that Nandini was feeling cold he took out his jacket and covered her and then he moved and collected some logs of wood and kept it on a place where Nandini was standing but he didn't knew how to light it up so he was just searching for something to light it up. Nandini understood that, so she thought to help him, she got up and saw few stones kept in a corner, she went and picked 2 stones. Manik who saw her going towards a corner, he shouted
"Hey where are you going?"

Nandini didn't said anythingand taking those 2 stones came back towards the wood logs and with the help of stones she lit up the woods. And Manik was just amazed, came and sat there with her and few moments later he said
"Wow, that was something unexpected. Well I didn't knew that you are so talented"
said Manik sarcastically.

"Then I guess Mr. Malhotra you don't know me at all"
said Nandini smirking

"HaHaHaHa stop flaunting yourself unnecessarily"
said Manik getting irritated

"I guess someone else is burning more than this fire"
said Nandini sarcastically.

And that was the last thing they spoke because roaming around the jungle and then their mud fight took a toll over them and they were very tired so the slept in each other arms not realising when sleep took over them. And the longest day finally came to an end. And this night also will end soon and next morning will bring some other challenges as now they have to find their way back to the city.
