Akira Sarutobi: Kakashi's Private Student

Chapter 1: Back to the Academy

-Akira's P.O.V-

 "Alright, Akira. That's enough for today." Kakashi looked at me panting a few meters away, hiding the tiredness in his own voice. I had been sparring with my private tutor for about two hours now, and I wore him out, yes, but I was exhausted. However, I would never admit that willingly; I could go longer. "B-but its.... barely...2 o'clock..." I look at him with the best confused expression I can manage; we normally end for the day around five. "Yes, well, the Hokage and I have something to talk to you about. Plus, it looks like your about to pass out." "I...do...not..." He chuckles at my stubbornness and gestures towards my grandfather's office. I follow in silence, thinking about what it is that could be so urgent. Kakashi noticed. "What are you thinking about?"

 "Well, what is this sudden meeting about? Nothing important is coming to mind and-" he interrupts me. "Sorry, Akira. The Hokage will help explain things once we get there." I sigh. We approach the door to the office and Kakashi knocks. "Enter." He opens the door and I enter first, my grandfather was sitting in the chair at his desk. "Ah, Akira. Kakashi." He nods to Kakashi and he nods back. I can't take it anymore, what do they need? The last time a meeting with them popped up suddenly, I was assigned a personal Anbu guard. That doesn't sound that bad, but I can take care of myself; I guess it comes with the title of "Honorable Granddaughter".  I finally speak up. "Ok, what's going on? What do you need this time?" "Akira, me and your tutor were thinking and..." "What is it..?" I asked very accusingly. What has grandpa gotten me into this time? Kakashi finally answers. "We want you to go back to the academy with your original class." 

-Kakashi's P.O.V-

There were a few moments of silence before Akira spoke up. Possibly because she was calming herself down, which I was grateful for. "What?!?? B-but Grandpa!! You and I both know that I'm at an advanced chunin level! Why would I need to-" I interrupt her, "Akira, we want you to be... well, we want you to get used to working with people again. People your age. I know its not your favorite but it will be a good training exercise for you." Akira stares at me. Dang it, I think she noticed what I was hinting at. "Wait a minute.......................YOU WANT ME TO JOIN A TEAM?!?!?!" Yep, she noticed.

-Akira's P.O.V-

"Kira, calm down." My grandfather addressed me in a stern voice and I looked at him pleadingly. "Come on, Grandpa! Pleeeeeaaaase?!?!" "Kira, we have discussed this for weeks now. Iruka has already been notified, you need to trust us." I rolled my eyes and sighed. This is worse than the guard. A LOT worse. I can work by myself, but I guess it won't be too bad. After all, there won't be much of a challenge at the academy. "Oh, and uh, Kira?" "What is it now." "You start tommorow, so try to resist the urge to sneak out and get at least six hours of sleep, will you?" No promises, grandpa. However, I didn't tell him that. "Sure thing," I said with my usual bored tone. "Alright then, that's all. Dismissed." 

I follow Kakashi out, drawing my hood. "Come on, it's not that bad. You'll be fine." I didn't respond. He sighs. "Look, just try not to kill anyone tomorrow, alright? And Lord Hokage is right, get some sleep." "Yeah, yeah. Sure thing." We part ways for the rest of the day, or so I think.

-Time skip: 11 p.m.-

I couldn't sleep. I'm not even that tired. My mind won't let me sleep. I don't know if Kakashi has a mission tonight in the village, but I hope not. I crawl out my window, sneaking past the Anbu guard. I go to my favorite spot, the Hokage Faces. After what seems like forever but was probably only a few minutes, I get to the Third Hokage's head. You can see the whole village, and it's so peaceful. I've been alone with my thoughts for a while, and I finally stop staring into space. As I'm scanning the village, I see Kakashi walk out of the Hokage's residence. Dang it, he must have had a mission tonight.  Hopefully, this is far enough away. Oh who am I kidding, he is one of two people I cannot sneak past. Still, I don't freak out. I have been out here long enough, and I was planning on going in anyway. 

-Kakashi's P.O.V-

I had a late-night mission tonight, and I was finally done with the mission report. Before I started walking, I looked around the village. It was so quiet. I was about to walk home when I spotted a silhouette on the Hokage's Faces. I sigh. Dang it, Akira, you need your rest. I teleport behind her. Surprisingly, she didn't seem startled. "I thought we told you to get sleep tonight, Akira." "Well, you did buuut......." "You couldn't sleep? Or you weren't tired? I find that very hard to believe, missy. You start the academy tommorrow, Akira!" "Restart," she corrected me. 

I sigh. "How long have you been up here?" "About thirty minutes. Promise." Alright, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. The academy probably holds a lot of memories for her. Painful memories. "Ok, that's enough time to relax your mind almost completely, right?" She sighs and starts to stand up. "Yeah, I guess." "Alright then, let's go. You're lucky you caught me on a good day, and that I care about you. Otherwise, the Hokage would hear about this." "Yeah, thanks. Let's just....go already." She tries to hold back a yawn. I get her into her room again, and she stops me from leaving right away. "Hm? What is it?" "You're not going to be a jounin squad leader this year, right?" I chuckle, hiding my nervousness surprisingly well. "You've got nothing to worry about. No, not this year." She sighs and gets ready for bed. I leave after I'm sure she is staying, and I eventually get to my house. Gosh, I hope tommorrow goes well. 

A/N- ok, so this is my first story I have ever posted so bear with me because I am new to this so my story probably isn't the best. I know the song doesn't go too well, but I thought that the theme of "Solo" would suit the introduction of Akira best. Anyway, I will hopefully post an update of this story once a week but school might get in the way. Or I will update three times a day if I get overly excited.  Aight, Ima head out now, have a nice day and I hope you like it!!!!
