A new feeling. | Part 4

Taaf has been the playing with Spinel for about an hour now. Once Taaf gave up, he picked Spinel up, but not with his arms. Taaf used his Telekinesis quirk to pick up Spinel, bringing her over to him, and then Taaf booped her on the nose, saying:

Taaf: Tag, you're it.

Spinels reaction was about the same as Pink Diamonds. She freaked out for a solid 5 minutes, though.

Spinel: Ooh that's so COOL!!

Taaf: Thanks.. I guess. It's not that cool, really.

Spinel: Yes it IS though! I like it at least.

She ran up to Taaf and hugged him. Taaf slightly blushed.

Spinel: That's so cool! Maybe you can like.. move... uhh...

Spinel looked around and pointed at a planet.

Spinel: That!

Taaf: Woah.. I can only move stuff that i could carry with my own two arms... but it does make them a bit lighter.

Spinel: Oh.. well...

Spinel looked around again. She could barely find anything, so she just said:

Spinel: Eh, forget it. It's a pretty cool power though! I haven't seen a gem with that quirk! Hey, speaking of gems-

Spinel pulled out the chair again and laid on it.

Spinel: -What's your weapon?

Taaf: Oh... it's a Katana.

Spinel: Can I see?

She said, kicking her legs back and forth.

Taaf: I guess.. I'm gonna step back a bit though.

Taaf then pulled out his katana and started playing with it.

Spinel: WOOOAAAH! That's awesome!

Taaf: Thanks.. whats your power?

Spinel laughed a bit, then extended her arms and wrapped them around Taaf, pulling him in for a hug. Taaf slightly blushed.

Taaf: ...Woah.

Spinel: Cool, right?

Taaf: Yeah. Oh... and what's your weapon?

Spinel reached to her gem and pulled out a rejuvenator. Spinel swung it around a bit, causing Taaf to jump back a bit.

Spinel: Y'know, you're kinda cute when you're scared!

Taaf sweats a bit, but laughs.

Taaf: Heh... thanks. Can you.. like... put that away?

Spinel: Oh, heh. Right.

Spinel put the rejuvenator back, making Taaf sigh in relief.

Spinel: Hey... you feeling better yet?

Taaf: Yeah.. you made me feel a lot better. Thank you.

Taaf went up to hug Spinel, which she accepted and hugged back. Spinel started to tear up when Taaf did. They were still happy, but they were crying tears of joy. This is when Taaf started to feel this new feeling. A feeling he'd never had for anybody.

He was in love with Spinel.

Taaf: Uhh... Yeah. Thanks for making me feel better about... yknow.

Spinel: Yeah... heh. No problem.

There was an awkward silence... then Pink Diamond came through the warp pad.

Pink Diamond: Hey guys! I got y- Oh... am.. am I interrupting something?

Spinel and Taaf: ... No.

Pink Diamond: Well... I got Taaf... this.

It was a red arrow with a pointed, sharp tip.

Pink Diamond: It's an extra little weapon for your telekinesis quirk!

Taaf: Cool. I guess this'll be helpful. Thanks My Diamond.

Taaf made the hand sign and tried using his arrow.

Spinel: Ooh! I got something that'll make you cuter!

Taaf: Alrigt, where is it?

Spinel: I saw a big pretty flower over there! I'll be right back!

Pink Diamond: Alright.. you two have fun. I'm gonna go to the Kindergarten.

This left Taaf all alone, once more. He looked around for Spinel, but she was nowhere in sight.

He tried to call out for Spinel. No answer.

He ran around and searched. Nowhere.

He tried to call for Spinel again. No answer.

He left back to the garden, curled up into a ball, and cried.

"She left."

"She hates me."

"She wants me gone."

"Just like them..."

Spinel then ran up again with a big ol' flower. She slowed down and looked at Taaf in confusion and concern.

Spinel: Hey, hey! What's wrong!?

Taaf got up and hugged Spinel.

Taaf: I... I thought you left me...

Spinel reluctantly hugged back.

Spinel: Dude... I would never leave you. We're friends... remember..?

Taaf: Yeah... yeah I guess so...

Spinel and Taaf hugged for 5 minutes, both crying. They cared for each other.

They always had.

They always will.

They loved each other.
