Mr. Baines looked over at Tracy when she called his angel "mom" and then back again to the woman, "Who are you?" he asked.

"Hmm? Oh I'm Laura Evans, the new assistant principal, mister-?"

"Umm, Jordan Baines. I'm the Bet-er chemistry teacher."

"Oh well it's nice to finally meet you." Laura said with a bright smile which unknowingly put her in danger of being carried away caveman style. Looking down at the student on the floor, extending her hand, she asked, "what's your name?"

"Carla."

"Alright Carla," she said helping the girl up, "let's go get you cleaned up and have the nurse check you. That's a nasty gash on your leg."

Carla shrugged, "It's nothing."

"Can I help?" Tracy asked.

"Thanks sweetie but no, you have class soon so go ahead and eat." Laura replied leading Carla away while Mr. Baines followed looking like a lovesick tough guy puppy.

The lunch lady, Mrs. Steele, came over with a broom and mop to clean up the mess and Tracy walked back over to the guys.

"Umm... what just happened?" she asked puzzled over the big guy's behavior.

The guys looked at each other and Jack quickly said, "Nothing."

Tracy eyed them suspiciously, "Un huh..."

"Oh look at the time." Reilly said absentmindedly looking down at the non-existent watch on his wrist.

"We have class." Landon said hurriedly.

"See you in Chemistry." Jack said quickly as they raced off.

"Run chickens! I'll catch and cook you later!" Tracy called out after them.

The trio walked into the woods behind the school.

"Well that was unexpected." Jack said.

"I don't believe this." Reilly muttered.

"You alright man?" Landon asked concerned.

Reilly shrugged, "I guess... I mean I'm happy for dad. Maybe he won't be such an asshole now and go back to the way he was before mom died. Right now I don't know what to make of this."

"What are we going to tell Tracy?" Landon asked worriedly.

"We have to talk to dad." Jack said. Werewolves had the ability to speak to each other through the link that binds them together as a pack. When accepted or born into the pack your are able to communicate with other pack members. Jack's face went slack for a moment as he opened his mind to send a message to the Alpha.

"Dad?"

"Yes son."

"Beta Jordan found his second chance mate."
