"jaemin" jaehyun scolded. "how can you say that to your own sister?"
jaemin just rolled his eyes and left the basement for a moment. the others just stared at him, shaking their heads.
"come here, yeonha, i'll just teach you the basics today" jaehyun said and i nodded.
i followed him to the shooting range. it looked pretty scary and intimidating at first, but jaehyun's warm smile made me feel comforted.
"here's the gun you'll use, try shooting for a headshot", jaehyun threw a gun and i gripped on it tightly. "go ahead now"
i hesitated at first but i looked back at jaehyun, who nodded his head. i faced the target and did my best to aim for the head. my hands were pretty shaky and as soon as i pulled the trigger, i jumped up from the loud sound and my hands were shaking from the shock.
"cute" he chuckled. "you're just like jisung when he first learned shooting"
he approached me and held my hand tightly to make it stop shaking. he patted my shoulder and took the gun from my hand.
"this is how you do it", jaehyun said while aiming for the head.
bang. bang. bang.
my mouth opened wide when i saw he had shot the head, heart and knee on point. he looked back and chuckled again. i could not get enough of him. he's too perfect, how?
"wow" i was in that amazement and fascination that i could only say just that.
"when you want to slow down your enemy but not kill them, aim for the knee. aim for the heart for the kill" jaehyun told me. "practice shooting the points i shot, once you get them, you can move on to the next training"
i was stuck there for two hours. thankfully, jaehyun didn't leave my side the whole time. he actually congratulated me when i finally shot it correctly.
"good job, buttercup" he complimented. "now go hurry to mark, he'll teach you close-range"
"alrighty" i said and hurried off to the area where i spotted mark at.
"are you ready for some close-up action?" mark asked in english.
"yeah" i replied.
"so..."
the next few hours, i was already exhausted but i had just finished the close-range training and the teaching with yuta and hendery. thankfully, it was just jaemin's training left. i didn't know why but even if he was my brother, i was quite scared.
i approached him, without saying a word. his whole aura was mysterious yet cold at the same time. i couldn't tell out his thoughts or feelings. i just knew he was well, cold.
i looked around us, seeing the other guys went out to take a quick break or attend to some business. i remember mark running outside when i saw a text from renjun, saying chenle had discovered something big. it was still stuck in my head. what did they find out?
"hey!" jaemin called. "focus, would you?"
"sorry" i apologized.
"focus is a key, because you need to know how to predict your enemies' next move" jaemin said.
i just stared at him blankly, until i felt pain coming from my stomach area. he had shot me, but thankfully i was wearing the vest that jaehyun gave me earlier.
"what the fuck?", i questioned and glared at him.
"i told you, focus", he coldly said.
thankfully, the pain just lingered for a bit, slowly subsiding as time went on.
