Notes Before Reading
DISCLAIMER: These are the presets I have for this world. You may imagine the characters, races, and descriptions however you'd like.
There are three primary humanoid races.
Humans: This species has the highest population and lowest lifespan. They breed like rats and have mostly corrupt morals, but they are the most potent military force in Aurillea. They can look like anything Earth's humans can look like. Some humans possess magic, usually only nobles, royals, and a select few miracle children (born on a solstice, full moon, midnight on the dot, etc.). Iron does not hurt humans, but it does block their magic.
Fae: Immortal, magical humanoid creatures. Children are rare since females only menstruate once a year. They are a mighty race, even though they are slim in numbers. Fae are typically more attractive than any human. They refer to themselves as males and females rather than men and women. They can have naturally any color hair and any eye color. All Fae possess strong magic or shifting into a second form and quick healing. Their senses are much better than humans' but worse than Sekiphin. Iron causes burns and blocks out magic. Oh, can't forget the pointed ears. Ear length, size, and position (raised, horizontal, droopy, small, large, long, short, etc.) are all genetic. They can be up to six inches long and are more noticeable than Sekiphin ears. "I am a Faerie," "I am Fae"
Sekiphin (sek-ih-fin): Horned, bird-winged humanoid creatures. They live to be around 200-400 years old. They are a slightly primitive people, but one would be foolish to pick a fight with them. They come in very vast colors, such as tropical birds, crows, hawks, and snowy owls, to name a few. Their hair and eye color are not limited in the slightest and often match their respective birds. Sekiphin are friendly by nature but provoke easily. No, they do not lay eggs. They refer to themselves as males and females rather than men and women. While Sekiphin do not possess magic (large amounts of iron in their blood), they have heightened senses, even more so than the Fae. Their ears are pointed, but it is more subtle than that of the Fae, and all ears are the same size and shape unless stated otherwise. Their horns grow around puberty, and it is an excruciating process. Starting with hair loss in the select area, then painful bumps on the head where the horns will grow in and scabbing due to the stretching of the skin, and finally, horns sprout. "I am a Sekiphin", "I am Sekiphin"
Setting
The story takes place in a world called Aurillea, beginning in a powerful human-dominated kingdom called Farenland. Its weather is never the same, constantly changing but staying within a balanced definition of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. There are two other main kingdoms: Chelandon and Nuwang. Chelandon is primarily ruled by Faeand has a beautiful climate, ranging from pine forests to tropical beaches. It shares a continent with Nuwang, the Sekiphin-dominated kingdom. It is the largest land-wise and is ruled by a matriarchy, where females have the most power. The climate ranges from grasslands to barren deserts and is home to the largest desert in Aurillea, adequately named the Sekiphin Desert after the people that inhabit it.
Characters
Evangeline Veles: A human girl of average height, about 5'8". She has dark wine-red hair that reaches her upper back and falls in gentle curls. She has upturned green eyes, a diamond-shaped head, a straight nose that could be described as button but points a bit at the tip, and high but soft cheekbones. She is eighteen and the protagonist of our story. Her name is pronounced Eve-ann-jill-ine, not to be confused with Eve-ann-jill-een. Her last name is pronounced as shown but with a "z" instead of an "s." She has a quite muscular build that is hidden often by sleeves and pants. Her birthday is June 20th, and she is a Gemini.
Andras Blaer: A Fae male, about 6'6". He has white (not elderly, quite the opposite, actually) shoulder-length hair that is usually tied up. Everything about him screams, "I am not human," including his bright yellow eyes. His name is pronounced as shown. His last name is pronounced like the name Blair. His birthday is October 3rd, and he is a Libra.
Lucian Anthracia: A human man, about 6'3". He has coppery-red hair that falls messily around his head and bright green eyes. His name is pronounced Loosh-an; his last name is pronounced Ann-thray-sia. He was born November 23rd, and he is a Sagittarius.
Aleha Yifei: A Sekiphin female, about 5'6". She has straight, dark, blue-black hair that falls to her chin and matching dark blue eyes. Her hair matches her wings, and her horns are a shiny black that curl behind her ears like a ram's. She is semi-clueless when it comes to Farenlander and Chelandian etiquette, even though she is highly educated by Sekiphin standards. She has a round face, high cheekbones, monolid eyes, and a flat nose. Her name is pronounced as shown. Her last name is pronounced Yih-fae. Her birthday is January 31st, and she is an Aquarius.

Religion
Aurillea is ruled by two goddesses, the Divine Sisters, Edith and Monet. Edith (Ee-dith) is the goddess of chaos, death, war, fire, and destruction. People pray to her for victory in battle and justice. Monet (Moan-ette) is the goddess of luck, emotion, peace, water, and fertility. People pray to her for children, good luck, rain, and life.
Many people blame Edith for things that go wrong and thank Monet when they go right. Some believe that this is why Edith is rumored to be so wicked.
The story is such;
The world began with a Mother and Father. They created the world and all that is good and evil and conceived Edith and Monet.
The Father and Mother verbally and physically abused Monet for being weaker than her twin sister. This angered Edith, and she struck out against her parents.
Edith killed the Mother and Father, thus causing her and her sister to inherit their powers. However, instead of being balanced between each other, Edith inherited chaos, and Monet inherited order.
To this day, Edith fights furiously against anything that might harm her sister, while Monet is the only thing that can keep Edith in check.
