I looked at the kid wondering if this is for real.

" I already have a fiancé, so not on your life!"

My eyes widened.
She then turned to leave.
The boy on my arm held tighter wanting her to come back.
Tanjiro turned around to look at us and said.

" come on... just give it up."

The boy looked at Tanjiro heartbroken and said.

" wh-why'd you get in my way? This has nothing to do with you two!"

I watched as the boy ran his hand down my arm to my hand holding it.
He sent chills up my arm making me flinch.
I looked up to Tanjiro to see him make a grossed out face.

" what's with that look on your face!!"

The boy said angrily.

" stop it! Why are you staring at me like I'm so creature or something!"

He then let go of my hand pointing at Tanjiro.

" hey you! You're responsible for it! Since it's your fault that I missed out on getting married!"

The boy then re held my hand making me look at him with the same face as tanjiros.

" not you too!!"

The kid then grabbed both of my hands and said while bringing them up like he wanted something from me.

" listen! I'm going to die soon!"

My eyes widened and I listened.

" during my next job! You see I'm terribly weak! I'm not kidding! You have to protect me until-"

He then calmed down and looked at me head to toe.
He suddenly grabbed my shoulders and said to my face.

" we get married!"

My eyes widened and I instantly felt Tanjiro rip me away from him.

" my name is Tanjiro Kamado!"

He said with a stern face shoving me behind him away from the boy.
That seemed to get the attention of the boy away from me.

" is that right? My apologies!"

He started to crawl to Tanjiros legs holding them while saying.

" I'm Zenitsu Agatsuma! Please save me, Tanjiro!"

Tanjiro looked confused and said.

" what do you mean save you? What's your reason for being a swordsman zenitsu? Why are you being so shameless?"

I also listened in, wondering also myself .

" I got swindled by a women and racked up all this debt! The old geezer who took it over for me was a cultivator! Day after day I had to go trough hellish training! I thought I was going to die!!"

I watched as he stood to his feet now distressed.
Why did I already know this was the reason he joined..
