Chapter 3: Snap, Crackel, Shock!

Ashton P.O.V.

Man, this is refreshing. I got to stay in school and put the brakes on the biggest asshole in the school. Plus, I've got some pretty awesome cards now. At this point I feel like I could challenge anyone at this point.

"Yo, Ash!" Sy said as he was jogging to catch up with me.

"Sup dude," I greeted

"What happened to make sure I get up out of bed today?" he said as he caught his breath.

"Uh yeah, sorry about that," I answered. "I guess I was a bit more motivated today, so I kinda forgot."

"Still feeling proud about yesterday?" He said as we started walking to school.

"Shouldn't I be proud?" I answered. "I got Stacks to shut his trap, I saved you from becoming his servant, and I got to stay in school. What's not to be proud of?"

"You deserve to be proud," he replied as we arrived at the school gate.

"Just don't let it go to your head," Keira said as she walked up to us.

"You came out nowhere," Sy said.

"Six years of us knowing each other and you're still not used to it," she said.

"Nope, and probably never will," he chuckled.

"At least after today is the weekend," I said. "Are we doing anything this weekend?"

"How about both me and Keira get our shots at taking on the Doom HEROES," Sy suggested.

"Sounds like a plan. We can probably throw some extras in there to," I said.

"Alright, let's get the day over with," Keira said.

Later That Day

I was sleeping till I heard a high-pitched noise that woke me up. As I raised my head I yawned noticing that the noise was the bell. As I rubbed my eyes I hear Keira speak.

"He's awake, finally," she says.

"You enjoy your rest Snow White?" I hear Sy asked sarcastically.

"I did in fact actually. Maybe if you figure out how to do your work as fast as I do, you could sleep as much as me."

"Whatever dude, let's get out of here and start our weekend," Sy said as he shrugged off my comment. We got up from our desks and left the classroom. As we walked down that hallway to leave school Sy asked, "You decided who you'll duel on Saturday and Sunday."

"Yeah, I'll duel Keira on Saturday and you on Sunday. If we're gonna be honest does it mat..." As we turned the conner I bump into someone and we both fall down. "S-Sorry about that," I said as I stood up and see that our collision knocked several of his cards on the ground. He quickly got all his cards together & stood up, dusting himself off.

"Wow. Didn't expect to get knocked over by another idiot unlike myself." The guy joked, chuckling. "Hey, I know about you. You're the guy that's always losing right?"

"I mean you're not wrong, but that's not happening anymore." I responded. "There's a new blockbuster duelist in town and you're looking at em'. No more losing for this guy."

He laughed. Just, actually laughed in my face. "Not to be mean, but even I, the optimistic ass, thought you got lucky with that new deck of yours. Where did you get them anyway? Pretty sure they weren't just randomly given to you."

"Um," I laughed nervously. "They were. They were in my locker."

He started laughing again. "Really? Well that's good for ya, but those should be earned. How about a duel for ownership of the cards?"
