Harry and Ginny a couple of days after the final battle

Ginny's POV

I sat with my back against the tall oak, facing the lake. The sun was starting to set. My mind swirled with faces. Fred. Remus. Tonks. Colin. Eack one felt like a punch to the gut. I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I turned around, arm ready to swing back and hit the person.

"Harry." I froze. My heart felt twisted. After all, we hadn't kissed since that disaster on his birthday.. Why did Ron have to be so protective??? Harry had barely even looked at her after that. He motioned toward the spot next to her.

"Can I join you?"

"Sure." I could hear the hurt in my voice, noticing by the look on his face that he noticed too. I mentally kicked myself.

"Ginny I-"

"Harry please, don't explain. I know. I want to hear about what you did over the last 10 months." She hesitated, "Starting with what happened after the wedding."

He looked at her, seeming slightly taken aback.

"The wedding. Hermione found me, and we all disapperated. She had to practically pin me down. I was freaking out. Worried about you." he turned his head sheepisly toward her "When they calmed me down, we headed to this cafe. When we were there we got attacked by Death Eaters."

(change to 3rd POV)

Ginny stared at him, listening while he explained the rest of the story. How they broke into the Ministry, traveled around looking for Horcruxes, Ron getting splinced, Godric's Hollow, Ron walking out on them. When Harry got to that part Ginny snarled in outrage. How could Ron do that!? Harry stopped, hearing, or maybe senceing, her anger.

"It's ok, he saved us, in a way, going away. He found the Sword of Gryffindor."

"Snape sent that to Gringotts though"

"The fake sword, not the real one."

"But... how?"

"I don't know" he sighed

Harry continued with his story. Ginny almost cried when she heard about Dobby, which was strange, as she never met Dobby before. She assumed it was just because she had had it with death for a long time. She barely registerd much else. When he stopped talking, she turned around.

(Change to 1st POV)

"I had no idea...." Harry looked at her. I noticed that he was crying, something I had never seen him do before. I reached up to wipe the tears off his face. I hesitated for a moment, thinking we aren't dating, haven't even seen each other in 10 months, what am I doing?? Harry nodded slightly, as if giving permission. She stared into his eyes for a moment, then glanced at the sky. It was getting dark out. I sighed.

"Mum will kill me if i'm not in the hall by the time the sun sets, I have to go." Harry stood up and offered his hand.

"Let's go eat then." I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. I stumbled a bit.. Had he gotten stronger? I shook it off.

"Race ya!" I just took off. I don't know what came over me, or why I did that. God. I am so stupid sometimes. I glanced back and saw him standing dumstruck for a second, and watched as a grin took over his face and he ran to catch up to me. I sprinted up the path, and bounded into the entry hall. I stopped, breathless, right out side the big oak doors leading to the Great Hall. Harry caught up to me.

"No.. Fair.." He sounded as out of breath as I did "You.. got head.. start." I clutched my side and took a big breath

"You should have been paying attention!"

"You still got a head start!"

I just stuck my tounge out at him. Harry reached out and pulled me closer to him, he kissed my forehead. I sucked in a breath. He leaned down and gave me a tiny peck on the lips. The kind of kiss that left me aching for more. I wanted him to lean down and kiss me like there was no tomorrow.. But he just pulled away and gestured to the doors,

"Let's go."

**

I sat on one side of harry, facing mum. I ate quite heartily, but eating here mad me kinda sad. I could remeber how the Carrows punished me by starving me, forced to sit at the table during meals, watching my friends eat, but I couldn't touch any food. It's like it was enchanted. Which it obviously was. Mum started talking. I consentrated on her voice, drowning out the memories.

"We have to leave tomorrow, the.. the funeral.. 3 days.........." Mum trailed off, starting to cry. I could feel the rest of the family's sorrow. I wish I could forget. Forget about Fred's death. Just for a minute.

Bill spoke softly, "Let's talk about something different for a bit.."

Mum nodded. She turned toward Harry. "Harry dear, you'll stay with us, untill you buy a house?"

"Mrs Weasley, I don't want to intrude-"

"Harry, you could never intrude!" Harry smiled.

"Ok then."

Dinner finished quickly. I sat by the fire, hoping for sleep. I haven't slept well all year. Eventually, around maybe 11, I got to sleep. Immedietly, I was plunged into a nightmere.

"Yes, the girl is here." a cold drawling voice spoke. "Bellatrix, torture her slowly. We want Potter to give in. This is the only way to do that." Ginny stayed rooted to the spot, unable to move. Bellatrix laughed, and started tourturing her.

"CRUCIO! CRUCIO! Wicked girl! Aren't so fast now are you?" Bellatrix threw her head back and laughed.  She could hear Harry screaming at them to stop, to hurt him instead. She tried to call out to Harry, to tell him not to give in. The pain started again, harder this time.

She woke with a start. She felt tears on her face. Slowly I got up, and walked to the boy's dormitory, only half aware of what I was doing. I walked in and saw Harry sitting in bed. He turned around.

"What are you doing in here-" he noticed her tear stained face "Whats wrong??" I shook my head.

"Nightmere."

"Come here." Harry spread his arms, and I walked into them. I sat down, Harry stroking my hair. I blurted out "Can I stay here? Just for tonight.."

"Sure." He lifted up the covers, and I wiggled in. Harry wrapped his arms around me, and before I knew it, I was asleep.

****

I woke to rustling. Confused, I turned my head, and saw Harry.

"Sorry, I didn't want to wake you."

"It's fine. I would have gotten up soon anyway."

"We have to be down in Mcgonagall's office in an hour, to go back to the Burrow."

I nodded. I got out of bed, and finished packing my stuff. Harry and I walked down to Mcgonagall's office. When everyone got there, I watched as mum, Ron, Hermione, Bill, and Harry went. I stepped into the fie, taking a last look around, and said clearly. "The Burrow." I felt the familiar dizzing sensation, and stepped out into my home.
