Alison POV
I was about to yell at Emily for calling me "Blondie" but was interrupted by Mr. Johnson our new English teacher. The chalk board said "book report" in sprawled out cursive. Then I remembered we were supposed to read the Scarlet Letter over the summer. Oops, i forgot. Good thing I was a fast reader. I quickly looked over to my friends and as soon as I did he yelled "YOU DONT GET TO PICK YOUR OWN PARTNERS" and everyone groaned. He started to read off the names then he said "Alison" which caught my attention.
Emily POV
I was sitting on a desk behind Hanna who was staring out the window. Then I heard my name. I wasn't paying attention so I just said "what?". Everyone laughed, I just ignored that, not wanting to start trouble...yet. Then the teacher said, "you're with Alison for the project". Blondie turned around and looked at me, so that's what Blondie's name was, Alison, pretty name. But I liked Blondie more. I walked over to Alison and said "Meet me at my house tomorrow night Blondie so we can do this project". It was the first day of school and we already had a book report. This is gonna suck. At least I got to work with Alison.
