" that's not true "I laughed.

" I'll be having this low key party with my guys, just a parlour thing "

" you're boring " I sighed.

Fisayo also called me and made me understand he would have loved to be around me but he had a test to write. He wished me the best wishes he could think of and he even sang the 'happy birthday' song for me.

When I got to the hotel, many friends and enemies were there already.
Immediately I stepped down from the car, I saw lots of smiling white and yellow teeth.

'HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENNY"

It was nice to know people loved you and would at least plan to wish you 'a happy birthday' loudly... It was nice yeah yeah But believe me it didn't move me, most of the idiots here were the same idiots that shared and believed that video of Jude calling me a lesbian.. Bunch of useless goats but well, I have to pretend liked i was really moved.

"oh my God, you guys are wonderful.. I love you loads" I lied as I place both hands on my chest before deciding to dab the tears from my eyes that weren't even there.

Debra and Aisha were the ones who organised my party. I was so glad I had such loving friends.

At the far end, I could see a table filled with birthday gifts. Debra had urged me to go change to my bikini assuring me she'd take care of everything.

Stepping a leg in the already filled pool, I shivered, I wasn't really a good swimmer, I mean I could manage.

On a scale of 1- 20, I was on 2...That's something abegi.

While others played or flirted around in the pool, I just stayed at the edge fake smiling as usual at the bunch of idiots surrounding me.

"birthday girl how far na... Can't you swim or are you shy" a guy swam to my side asking.

"Yeah idiot, I'm shy to swim in the pool i rented with my hard earned... With my dad's money "

" um, no I'm not really a good swimmer " I said instead as I turned to face somewhere else.

" I can teach you, me I'm a madd swimmer ohh"

I shook my head "Thank you but no".

Just when the disappointed guy swam away, I felt a movement beneath me, I was scared as hell, I looked around thinking somebody probably saw the quick movement too but they were all minding their own business and were seriously having fun splashing water around.

As the excellent swimmer that I was, I walked away.... while my mates could swim away.

I walked to the other side of the pool still allowing the water cool my nerve and at the same time trying to ignore the people that were trying to talk to me.
Again I felt something grab my left ankle. How I didn't scream was a big miracle.

I was terribly scared, for all I knew, it could be a mermaid, whale or even the Titanic ship... Until i remembered I was in an ordinary pool and not the ocean.

Just while I thought of climbing out to hang out with the dancing people that didn't bother swimming, I felt myself rising up, this time I screamed.. Luckily for me, Davido's 'blow my mind' barked from the speakers around

"Girl you just dey blow my, blow my mind"

I looked down to see my legs resting on a guy's back.. It had to be a guy.
I angrily used my fingers to decorate his back, some people's were staring already, amebos!

"baby, baby, chill it's me" the guy said laughing.

I hardened my features as I quickly remembered I had heard that voice before.

"Fisayo!!!! " I screamed as I threw myself on him landing us deeper into the water. He laughed as he held me close, he laughed harder as I grasped for breath.

I punched him lightly

"you were the last person I expected to see, I thought you had a test"

Still laughing he replied "em, what if I was lying".

It was my turn to laugh this time as I hugged him tightly. I hadn't grown to love him but I knew I liked him well enough. He pulled me closer, his beard tickled me

"happy birthday baby"

"and your bikini is great, it's showing me all I love in this world"

I giggled as I slapped his arm "idiot".

I pulled him out of the pool, I wanted to let the girls know he was here.

I could see Aisha at the suya side arguing with an older lady that I didn't even know... Most of the people that came for the party, I knew them not!

I pulled a reluctant Fisayo towards Aisha.

"no nah, the fact you didn't spend money here is what is making you pour your drink away" Aisha growled

"I didn't decide to pour it just like that, I could see particles in the content " the lady defended

" you saw particles inside an initially sealed can drink, listen to yourself "

The lady was holding a can malt, she had probably poured it content away and maybe Aisha saw her and as expected she criticized her. She looked sorry tho. I smiled at her

" I'll take care of it, you can go ".

The lady walked away. I immediately turned to my still frowning friend, Debra walked towards us with some plates, she looked like she had been busy because she had packed her straight weavon in a ponytail.

" look who showed up" I squealed as I thumped on Fisayo's bare chest.

The girls stared at me like 'what is she saying'. I then realised.

"you snakes, so you people planned it abi... Idiots " I said laughing as I tried to hit both of them.

Fisayo made me wear a short and a blouse before pushing me to the midst of dancing bodies. He wanted to dance with me....... Oooooooooooooooh.
