I never wanted to stop kissing Hyde.

But I had to because some really annoying fucktards were trying to mess with my life. Again.

I growled as I ran my hand through my hair. Alabaster was growing as restless as I, coiling tightly around Hyde.

"Zák, calm down." Hyde's gentle voice rang out behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I could feel him press his cheek against my back. I stopped my pacing, placing my hands over his as I worked on getting my breathing under control.

Hyde drew small circles lightly on the skin of my wrists. I made myself calm down for his sake, I didn't want to blow up and have Hyde be afraid of me.

I turned around to grasp him in my arms. I laid my chin on his head. He wrapped his arms around me tightly. I hissed at Alabaster in my mind to ease his grip on him. I closed my eyes as I enjoyed the feel of him in my arms.

Nothing's ever felt more right.

A loud blaring noise rang through Hyde's apartment. I moved away from Hyde and felt my eyes start darkening into its veiny red colour. Alabaster hissed and tightened again around Hyde.

"Who's there?" I snarled out.

"Uh, Zák —"

"Not now, Hyde," I said as the beeping stopped. Alarms don't just go off for nothing.

I walked to the kitchen and retrieved a butchers knife. Coming back into the living room I saw Hyde's eyes widen before I turned my attention back to the windows.

"Zákïël!"

"Hyde," I said without looking at him. "I need you to go to a safe place with Alabaster —"

"No, wait —

"I'll find you later," I cut him off.

Hyde tugged on my shirt sleeve desperately. "No, Zák please just listen for one fucking sec —"

There was fluttering by the window next to the TV as something came in.

Without thinking twice I lifted my fingers and electrocuted the thing. Blue electricity arched from my fingertips and through the air as everything in my vision became red.

Who dares try to hurt Hyde!

"Zákïël!" Hyde pulled me towards him. My eyes widened at the unexpected force. When I turned to look at Hyde he was already staring at the arcs of electricity that were hitting him in the chest. I stopped my powers hastily as I reached out to cup his cheeks, intruder forgotten.

"Damn," he muttered.

"What? Hyde, love, are you okay? Shit, I-I'm sorry, I'm so s-sorry Hyde —" Warm lips enveloped mine in a sweet kiss. I kissed back slowly as I felt my earlier fear dissipate before the man before me.

Hyde pulled away first and rested his forehead against mine.

"It didn't hurt," he whispered.

"My powers?" I mumbled.

"Yeah," he buried his face in my neck. I rubbed a hand down his back.

"I don't ever want to hurt you," I mumbled quietly to him as I placed a quick kiss on his head.
