~Your P.O.V.~
There's a village... A village where everyday is like Halloween. No one knows the name, or where it is, but people live there. "Careful in the woods sweetie!" Mom had told me every day. Dad went in the woods and never came back. The same happened to my friend Luka, Gumi, Meiko, Teto, and just recently Miku. They only been in the woods once, and it was their final time going...
Their disappearances in order would have to be:
Luka- She went alone, no weapons.
Meiko- She went alone with a sword.
Gumi- She went alone with carrots.
Teto- She went alone, no weapons.
Miku- She went alone with her dolls that look like Rin and Len.
Rin and Len would go into the woods all the time because they always "accidentally" throw their ball in the woods, but they always come back. Mom never tells me about dad's disappearance, or what he even looked like.
It was another grey day. My black and orange dress clean like every other identical black and orange dress I have. My twin brother Leon in his black and orange outfit. We were going to Miku's funeral. "Wait..." Mom said before fixing my orange bow that I always wear. White clothing is rare here, so we normally see children in white, but Rin never takes off her whit hair pins.
At the funeral I just stared at Miku's coffin trying not to cry by eating oranges, my favorite fruit. It's sweet, but if you get on it's bad side it can be sour like me. My brother was eating a banana. Rin and Len's colors are black and red. Miku's colors were black and red. "Are you alright?" Leon asked in a whisper. Felt like I was being watched. "Yes I'm fine." I whispered back.
It was our turn to see Miku in her coffin. She looked like she coughed up blood, and her eyes were gouged out. "Poor Miku.... You don't deserve any of this." I whispered to her as I held her lifeless hand. "Time to go." Leon said as he pulled me back. I dropped her hand and sat down because of Leon dragging me, but he knew it was for the best.
It was Len and Rin's turn to see Miku. I could barely see them smiling evilly. Leon wasn't paying attention like everyone else, preparing themselves for when I burst into tears. They knew Miku and I were close... Like sisters. When they turned around the feeling of being watched came back. Len and I also made eye contact for a minute, before he mouthed 'You're next' to me. I just kept an emotionless expression.
Tears began stinging my eyes. Leon was holding my hand so I tightened my grip on his hand. "It's okay." Leon tried reassuring me. I hugged him and bursted into tears. My cries echoed through the building.
-TIME SKIP-
We were home. Leon and I were in my room... I was still crying. Then there was a knocking on my door. "(Y/n), you have a visitor." Mom said as she walked in. My bedroom door wasn't even shut. I nodded and wiped away my tears.
My visitor was the one and only Len Kagamine. "Hello~" He greeted. "Hello." I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. "I brought an orange basket since I noticed how much you love oranges." Len smiled as he handed me a basket filled with oranges. "Thank you." I replied as I sat it on the table and sat down across from him.
"I'm so sorry for your loss." Len said. "What did you mean by, 'you're next'." I immediately asked. "I don't know what your talking about." Len replied. I nodded in understanding. Maybe it was my imagination, but I still get this eerie feeling around Len. "I better go get fresh air... I've been inside most of the day." I said as I stood up. "I'll come with you to make sure you're safe." Len replied as we left. The first person I saw was my crush... Rinto. "(Y/n)! I'm so glad to see you outside!" Rinto said as he ran up to Len and I.
Rinto and I hugged each other. "I'm so sorry for your loss." Rinto said which made me bust into tears again. So many people told me that today, I couldn't take it anymore.
It's been weeks since Miku's death, and everyone's been acting as if she never existed. "Remember, those in red can make their eyes turn orange, and those in orange can make their eyes turn red." Leon reminded me... "But Rinto's eyes turn orange." I said. "Careful in the woods, when you go out." Leon reminded me. "I know! I know! I'm just going to see Rinto." I said as I walked out. Rinto and I started dating.
"What do you mean Rinto's not home?! He told me to come here!" I cried. "He went into the woods to get something." His mom, Rin and Len's aunt, said.
He disappeared like all the others. I saw Len and Rin coming back with their ball. "Len! Rin! Did you see Rinto in there?! It's been a day since...... He and you two.... went in.... the wood." I said as the realization hit. Rin threw the ball behind her, into the woods. "Uh-oh!" I lost the ball again. We should go get it." Rin said as she and Len began smilling. They each grabbed one of my wrists and dragged me in with them. I looked behind me and saw a shocked Lenka.
It's been at least an hour since we came into this masion. Since I've been trapped in this room. "Rin! Len! Come on, you two have to come home!" I heard Lenka called out. There was a moment of silence until a scream was heard. I tried opening the door again to run to Lenka. No luck it's still locked. "YOU CAN'T KEEP ME HERE!" I cried. The door unlocked causing me to back up a little. "But they already think you're missing." Len replied as he walked in.
"YOU CAN'T KEEP ME HERE YOU PSYCHO!" I screamed. "Rin's out there to tell them that we're missing." Len smiled as he walked up to me. "I don't care who you think you are, Len Kagamine, but I do care about my family. Leon will come looking for me." I growled. "Until then my love." Len said before he kissed me. I pushed him away and spat.
"I'm not in love with you Len." I growled.... Huge mistake. "Well see. How about a game of hide and seek? If you get home without me seeing you then you'll be free. If not... Well then.." Len began. He leaned closer to my ear. "You can run all you want but I'll find you, and we'll be together forever." Len whispered causing a shiver to run down my spine. "Tick, tock (Y/n). Tick, tock." Len warned.
I was running through the woods. Not nowing which way is which. "(Y/N)!" I heard Len call out. He's close. I hid in a bush. Holding back screams, because of the thorns stabbing me. "Where is she. I thought I saw a glimps of her (h/l) (h/c) hair." Len said to himself. Don't move, hold your breath, don't get caught.
They were right. I should be careful in the woods. I then realized Len's eyes were orange. I guess my eyes are currently red. Once Len's footsteps faded away I made a run towards where I thought was the village. In reality I was just running further away from home. "Found you~" Len said when I bumped into him. "No... No this can't be. Please Len! What happened to the Len who's nice and wouldn't hurt a fly?!" I cried as tears were forming in my eyes.
"He changed because his love chose his cousin." Len growled. "I didn't know how you felt!" I cried. "My, my, you bad kid. You didn't even try to read." Len scolded as he started carrying me back to that mansion. Our eye to forever be our true color. His eyes orange, my eyes red. I knew that I would never be able to see the village again.
