Chapter 6: The shocking revelation

"Sir hamare questioning ki vajah se koi suicide nehi ho rahi hai, koi humko phasane ke koshis kar rahe hai sir (Sir no one is committing suicide because of our questioning someone is trying to trap us)"

I tried explaining to Ravi sir.

"Kaun phasana caahega tumeh? (Who will try to trap you?)"

"I don't know"

"Shaayad voh iss liye kyuki aisi koi baat hi nehi hai(Maybe that's because there is no such thing)"

"Toh aap kehna kya caahthe hai? Meri vajah se maar gaye yeh log? (So what are you trying to say they died because of me?)"

"Nehi bass yeh keh raha hoo ki tumne galthi kar di (No, just saying that you made a mistake)"

"Kaisi galthi? Kya kiya maine? (What mistake? What did I do?)"

"Tumne pyaar kiya? (You fell in love)"

"Sir voh mera personal maamla hai (Sir that is my personal thing)"

"Accha yeh deko (Ok see this)"

He showed me a video in which Karan is shown sneaking into Varun's home. I was shocked.

"Jiss dukan se Nisha ka video upload kiya gaya tha vaha par Karan gaya tha ussi din, Nisha ka jaan Karan ki vajah se gaya hai (that shop from which Nisha's video was uploaded Karan had gone there the same day, Nisha killed herself because of Karan)"

"Sir voh aisa nehi kar saktha (Sir he can't do that)"

"Mujeh bath rahi ho ya kudko?(Are you telling me or yourself?)"

He opened the door and smiled at me. But his smile faded away as soon as he spotted the other officers with me.

"Nisha ka video tumne upload kiya tha? (Did you upload Nisha's video?)"
He showed me both his hand s and said.

"Arrest me Shabhana"

Tears flowed down my cheeks; with blurry eyes I handcuffed him. I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces.

@My Office

"Kyu kiya aisa, Kyu maara Nisha ko? (Why did you do this? Why did you kill Nisha?)"

I asked Karan who sat there weeping. I lost my temper I was angry, shattered and broken. I went to him, and started beating him up he didn't resist. I felt more hurt after hurting him; I sat on the floor and started crying.

"Shabhana........I am sorry"

Karan said as he came close to me.

"Haat mat lagana (Don't touch me)"

I stood up and stormed out of the room.

I sat in my room staring out of my window I was looking at the pink sky. Suddenly my assistant came in.

"Madam jo voh Manish ki parents ki hisab se uska ek dream job tha ek software company main theen chaar saal se voh uske liye try kar raha tha uski marne ki ek din pehele usko uss company ne job offer karthe hue email kiya tha par uska reply na karne ki vajah se voh job kisis aur ko mil gaya, lekin ajeeb baat yeh hai ki Manish ki email account main aisa koi email hi nehi hai (Madam, according to Manish's parents he had a dream job in a software company for three to four years he have been trying for the same, the day before he died they had send him an email offering him a job but because he didn't reply the job was given to someone else, strange thing is that there is no such email in his account)"

"Shayaad breakup ki gum main job na lene ka faisla kiya hoga (maybe he was so upset about the breakup that he decided not to take up the job)"

"Madam uske marne ki din subeh ko usne uss company main call kiya tha tab use patha chala ki kisi aur ko job mila, aur usne kaha ki use unka email mila hi nehi (Madam, on the day he died he made a call to that company when he found out that someone else got the job he claimed that he never got their email)"

"Pata karo ki Manish ki email ki password kiss-kiss ki pass hai (find out who all have the password to Manish's email)"

"Ji madam (yes madam)"

Few hours later..........

"Sahi kaha tha tumne, tumne hi uski jaan liya hai (You were telling the truth, you killed him)"

I said looking at Shalini who was sitting in front of me. Her face had worn out due to continuous crying. I felt bad for her but she was a murderer.

"Voh pyaar kartha tha tumse par tumne toh uska sabse bada sapna hi tod diya (He used to love you, but your broke his biggest dream)"

"Janthi hoon (I know)"

"Kyu kiya aisa? Voh toh tumpe ethna yakeen kartha tha  usne tumhe apna email ka password thak de diya par tumne uska faida uttakar voh email delete kiya (Why did you do this? He trusted you enough to give you his password but you misused his trust and deleted that email)"

"Main gusse mai thi (I was angry)"

"Ithna gussa ki tume uska sabse bada dream tod diya? (so angry that you broke his biggest dream?)"

"Mujeh nehi patha tha ki voh apna jaan de dega, voh mujpe bevajah shaak kar raha tha aur main ne gusse main aakar email delete kar diya (I didn't know that he will kill himself, he was suspecting me for no reason and I got so angry that I deleted the email)"

I didn't say anything more and stepped out of the room my assistant was standing there.

"Voh begunna hai (She is innocent)" I said.

"Kay? (What?)"

"Hume bohot badi galthi kar di, humne bohot jalthi decide kar liya ki Ananya se koi pyaar nehi katha par hum galat the koi Ananya se ithna pyaar kartha hai ki voh Ananya ke liya maar bhi saktha hai aur mar bhi saktha hai (We made a big mistake, we quickly decided that no one loved Ananya but we were wrong someone loves Ananya so much that he/she can kill for her and also die for her)"
