Start from the beginning

Shit -- The techniques of Snow Breathing are meant for precision, not sheer power. I don't have a form strong enough to mitigate the impact-!

"(Y/N)!" you heard from below. You snapped your attention to Tanjiro, who readied his blade.

"Breath of Water, Eight Form:

Waterfall Basin!"

An absurd amount of water gushed from his strike, gathering and climbing higher with each passing second. Soon, it would reach you, and as your feet approached the waterfall, an idea hit you, and you flipped your sword in your hand.

"Breath of Snow, First Form:

First Snowfall."

Your blade gleamed and sliced through the crest of the waterfall -- almost instantaneously, all of the water turned to pure ice. The Nichirin Sword, now deeply embedded within the waterfall of ice, continued its downward path as your momentum carried it with you. The resistance of the ice against your blade, however, helped slow your descent. Eventually, with your hands still latched onto it for dear life, your blade stopped moving and your feet were spared from the ground.

You wrenched the scimitar out of the ice -- while the blade had become chipped through the ordeal, it was still intact.

I can't cut through the arrows, you thought to yourself. Nor can I avoid them. They only disappear after they've come in contact with me. In other words, if we ever want to beat this guy, we have to use his own powers to our advantage.

You took a moment to regain your breath as Tanjiro put up a fierce offense in your stead, only for his attempts to be thwarted by the troublesome arrows.

The question is, how..?

An arrow sneaked its way up your body and around your arm. Your throat closed up and panic set in briefly.

He's going to twist my arm off.

"AH-"

You couldn't help but yelp in pain as your sword arm began to over-twist.

You need to get it off. Think, damn it, think!!

Your body whisked you to action before your mind could even entirely process the solution. You sprinted, full-speed, at the frozen waterfall and leapt with all your might off your back leg. Your leading foot struck the ice and pushed, sending you into a backflip. Tucking your core and spinning as many times as you could, you soon felt the arrow's force release its hold on your arm.

Relief washed over you, physically and mentally.

It worked. I spun in the direction of the arrow, and it worked.

You couldn't help but laugh a little upon discovering you still had brain cells.

Holy shit.

Refocusing on the task at hand, you witnessed Tanjiro being thrashed around by the arrows, desperately trying to regain his foothold. It was apparent he was in a whole lot of pain, with his widened, dark red eyes and mouth agape.
