chapter 2

"Uh, well hi then Percy, my names lily"Also what do you mean son of Poseidon, like the god,or does your dad just have a really weird name."

"Well, like the god" he replies.  "What do you mean god" I say disbelievingly "like God or gods."  I add in hoping I might get some information. "gods as in plural, the greek gods to be exact".  "Well but gods aren't real." I almost yell, I don't want to believe this. "Well they are, don't worry, I was the same when I arrived at camp, you don't want to believe at first, were all like that in the beginning."

"Wait, what exactly do you mean by camp" I say.  "Well, camp half-blood, it's a safe place for kids like us" Percy replies with a almost fond tone.

"Wait camp half-blood? that's what that vampire donkey thing lady said."

"Well she was an empousia, she was a demon created by hectate, the goddess."  "Well come on, I'll show you around camp and you'll probably be claimed at the campfire tonight."  Percy says happily. "Wait what's exactly do you mean by claimed ?"  I say kind of worried for my safety. "Well you'll be claimed by your godly parent."  "Godly parent?" "But both of my parents are dead that's why I was living on the streets."

He looks at me "well you're a half blood all right that's why you're here you wouldn't have survived that empousia if you hadn't."  Percy says with a sad tone, like others don't survive. "But I didn't kill it." I reply kind of sad, I should have fought better. "Well that was Grover, he was tracking you to get you to camp safely."  "Wait, then why'd he have goat legs, I'm pretty sure that's not completely normal" I say. "He's a satyr. "he replies. "Oh ok then" I say.

"Well come on then, I'll take you to meet Annabeth, she's my girlfriend. "

"Huh, so who exactly is Annabeth"  I reply. "Annabeth is a daughter of Athena."  "So who's my parent."  I ask timidly.  "we'll will find out later at the campfire." Percy says. "oh" I say in a sadder tone.  "Its okay, I promise you, they will claim you."  Percy replies in a happy tone. "How do you know if they will claim me, what if they didn't want me?" I say sadly.  He looks at me and says "Well two years ago when I was six-teen, the gods promised me one request, so I had them promise they would claim all of there children by the time they turn thirteen". "wait" I say.  "but I'm fifth-teen, not thirteen." I reply in a sort of shocked tone, maybe they didn't want me, and that's why they didn't claim me until now. "well I dont know about that but you should have been claimed 2 years ago."  "oh well" I say "I guess as long as I know im not an orphan." I don't want to seem weak, I don't want people to now that it hurts.

Then a girl with long sandy blond hair and grey eyes walks over to where me and Percy are.  She smiles fondly and happily up at Percy she looks at him and asks "hey seaweed brain, who's this."  he just simply replies "this is lily, a new camper today, Grover brought her in."

  "Hello there lily I'm Annabeth daughter of Athena it's nice to meet you."
