"Wait, where is-"
"IM HERE" He announces loudly running down the stairs, I smile and he huffs out of breath.
"Jesus son," Drake says patting him on the back.
Oh, yea Ethan is one year younger than me, he is Drake and Lilly's son.
Ethan stands up straight and smiles at me, "Okay let's get going"
--------------------
I stand next to my brother scanning the room, we are about to start some dance, I am representing the woman of this gang this year so I get to be in the dance, am I excited? no.
I look around as I get many stares for what I am wearing,
My brother takes my hand and leads me to the dining area, I sigh when we reach there seeing small.. rich people food.
I grab a glass of champagne instead, moving my mask, and take a sip, I look around seeing many old people judge me and I push it back up.
"I guess you really are making a statment," he said and I nodded, I feel a tap on my shoulder and I see my mother and I furrow my brows and turn around.
"Its time Lex, you and your brother need to join the dance," I share a look with my brother and nod.
I hand her my glass and follow Allen to the foyer, I join his side and I look around at all the people, most of them are young, me and Allens age.
"So how many times do we switch?" I ask him, he looks around as he puts his hands on my waist and I put mine on my shoulder.
"Well this is kind of like a matching, to find your... soul mate, even though it is pretty stupid, we change three times"
"The last person you end up with... you spend the evening with"
I furrow my brows and the music starts playing and we move slowly.
"So basicly, they are trying to match us?" I ask and he nods.
"I think its for them to mix the gangs up, probably see if they can pull information from us" He says huffing and I roll my eyes.
"Well that's gay" He chuckles as we move around, I spot someone in an all-black suit, he is tall, and the back of his head looks way too familiar.
"Do you think Preston is here?" I ask him, he meets my eyes and then scans the area.
"I'd hope not"
The music is slow so we move slowly in circles, I lean my head on his chest getting bored as we continue to dance.
"Switch," He says and twirls me around, I land in the arms of a redhead, he is awkward as he places his hands on my waist, I place my hands on his shoulder.
"What gang are you from?" I ask him as we move in circles, he stutters multiple times before he can let it out.
"North.. a-and you are uh.. Kings daughter, right?" He says and I nod looking around the ballroom, my father watches us closely and I sigh.
"You having fun?" I ask him not really knowing what to say.
"I rather be sleeping"
I laugh and he smiles as we continue dancing, i shake my head "I can totally relate"
"Um, we are switching already?" He says, he grabs my hand and spins me as I get a little dizzy, I bump into my next guy and he grabs my waist.
"Someone is egar"
I can't help but roll my eyes as I place my hands on his shoulder.
"Looks like I got stuck with a cocky one," I say, he chuckles and starts to lead faster.
