"W-who are you?"

"A friend." a hand rested over the table. Fingers uncurling to reveal the scared brand of a crossed sketch on her palm. But that wasn't the objective. Speckled lighter skin, some kind of scare revealed itself under the girl's ear. Hair falling aside to show the rest of the scaring, fading under the women's jaw.

"A friend?" the boy glanced over at the women. "I don't have many friends,"

"How come?"

Jordan frowned. "How come?" he leaned away. "There not here,"

The womens eyes remained on Jordan, she had surveyed the area when she entered. The cold wall's and faded windows. It was a gloomy building, tucked into the far corners of the city. The suburban area at least a couple hundred miles in the opposite direction. This area mainly reserved to the crumbling companies, and transport station. The old, rusted, outdated area. Far from the center of the city.

"I understand that,"

Jordan placed red elbows on the counter, hunching forward. "If your my friend, my haven't you told me your name?"

"Don't you want to tell me your name first?" a dark brow lifted, along with the corner of the women's lips. "That's usually how you make friends,"

Jordan scoffed. "Your something else, lady."

A second shadow proceeded to step out of the hallway, rounding over the broken door. "I'm-oh!" the sandy haired man blinked softly. Glancing between the two in the crumbling kitchen area. A collection of webs marked the space where a ice-chest had once stood. The strong smell of mold from the lower levels, giving a pungent odor. Jordan had made the right choice sneaking in this building. The strong order, and foot trails, easily a cover for his own tracks.

"You've found. . ."

The women shifted a calculated look towards the man. A noise rolled out from her throat.

Jordan pulled himself off the country, glaring at the two intruders. "You were searching for me? Why were you searching for me?"

Jordan hopped off the stool, a leg snapped when he slid off. The broken seat falling to the floor, lifting a small cloud of dust. A soft clatter shattered the calm false of the run down apartment.

"Why were you looking for me?" Jordan's voice squeaked. His hands gripping the backpack slung over his shoulder tightly. His gaze shifted past the two, towards the far wall. The open panel of a window stood, a rickety fire escape offered a tottering ledge for support. For a quick escape.

The man stepped forward, his hands lifted as he searched for the correct words. Looking absolutely lost. His mouth opened and closed a few times before he turned his head to the honey-brown eyed women. Shifting out a sigh, the women waved a gesture over her shoulder as she rounded the rotting counter. Jordan stepped back as the women approached. Her knees bent, as she rested on her toes. Jordan watched her posture, her shoulder relaxer, dropping. Her lowered position stabilizing the young boy.

"Your within city limits. My partner and I, were scent to check up on a young boy. Reportedly snooping around local business,"

The sandy haired man, opened his mouth again. "Luc-"

The women raised a hand. "Can you tell me why you-"

"-Partner," the boy steadily brought his left leg shifting away from the direction of the window. "Your . . .cops?"

The women shook her head. "No. We're not,"

Jordan frowned, wrinkling shaggy brows. "You said he was your partner," Jordan pointed at the man.
