I finish my deliveries for the day and head back to the package store to clock out.
I begin the drive home thinking about when me and the other kids can see Raleigh again. They've missed her so much and I know she has missed us.
I know why she had to leave though. Kelley was so abusive towards and now that she isn't there I have to protect my younger siblings, which doesn't bother me, I can take whatever Kelley decides to do or say to me.
I walk in the house and immediately am tackled by a small body. I look down and see my baby sister Erika in tears and I know something is definitely wrong.

"What happened?" I ask her as I look up and see Emily behind Erika

"Emily what happened?" I ask getting more upset. Emily sighs
"Kelley came home r-really upset and starting screaming and Erika and Erik t-tried standing up for her but Kelley hit him and he w-wouldn't get up so dad had to take him to the hospital." Emily stutters sending Erika into another fit of cries.
I frown and hold my sisters tightly against me. Eventually they both fall asleep crying I turn and look at a picture of Erik on my phone.

I scowl. I wonder what Kelley told dad when Erik got hurt. How could dad keep being to clueless to this situation.
He let Raleigh get hurt all those years and now he is letting the youngest ones get hurt.
