- Athena is a 20 year old Junior who is studying Biology and Psychology in Downtown Chicago where she was born and raised. Athena is friendly but her insecurities prohibits that sometimes. One thing is that she appears to be extremely confident to others but she is faking it. Like that "Fake it until you become it"
- Jonah is the same description above for Athena, but lives in Ohio and has been her boyfriend for 3 years now. It started with using her for homework and test answers but now he feels something towards her. Jonah is a jock who has a past history of being aggressive.
- Brooke, 20, studies psychology and has been Athena's BEST friend for 3 years. Brooke and Jonah dislike each other.
- Erica, Maddy, and Sara are Bio/Psych students. Also the pretty girls that know Athena since elementary and are friends with her because of that. The 3 are super toxic and rude to everyone who isn't outgoing and popular as them.

The new school year has started. Athena hasn't seen Jonah all summer and is excited to have her other half close again. The good thing about a small uni is you always know everyone in your classes because you are all the same major so there isn't much anxiety on making new friends.
