Lauren's P.O.V

Camila and I were heading over to the Marriott hotel too look at the place, luckily the date we want is free and the owner said we could come by first thing in the morning to see it. As we pulled up, I was in complete awe of the place, still as beautiful as the photos...as the stories our parents told us about the place.

"Are you okay baby?" Camila asked reaching over for my hand
"Yes...overwhelmed with it." I said looking at her
"I know baby. You wanna sit here for a bit?" She asked

I nodded, needing a moment to take it all in. I have never actually been here, only seen photos and know what my parents told me about it. It was over thirty years ago, actually thirty five years ago to be exact, but it's still looked the same, only a little updated. I never expected that I would be sitting outside of it with Camila, planning to get married. I knew it was going to be hard, remind me of my parents, at the same time having the wedding here would make it feel like they were here with us

"I'm ready to go in now. We have to look for the owner and his name is Thomas and apparently it has been in his family for over 150 years." I said smiling
"That is amazing. You will be fine Lauren. I'm right here next to you." Camila said leaning over to kiss my cheek

I smiled gratefully at her and we both climbed out of the car. Camila was quick to get to my side, taking my hand in her own

"Come on baby." She smiled

I nodded, the two of us heading inside the to find the reception area, it was as beautiful inside as it was outside. It was very warm and welcoming.

"Good morning, welcome to the Marriott hotel how may I help you?" The receptionist asked giving us a smile
"Good morning. We have a meeting with Thomas? Lauren and Camila." I smiled
"Oh yes...he is expecting you. If you just head through these doors you will find him, he's the only one in there." She smiled
"Thank you." Camila and I said in sync and going to the direction of where she pointed us

We made our way through, finding an older man, in a grey suit sitting looking busy. I knocked on the door, making him stop whatever he was doing and looked up at us

"Thomas?" I asked

He smiled, getting to his feet and came toward us and greeting us

"You must be Lauren and Camila?" He said happily
"Yes sir. It's so nice to meet you, thank you for giving us appointment so quickly." I said shaking his hand, Camila doing the same

He invited us to to join him at the table where he was sitting, giving us both a glass of ice tea before he got started. The first thing was the packages available that he went through which were some great deals. Suddenly he looked up at me, studying me closely

"Did you parents get married here? Michael and Clara, about thirty five years ago?" He asked

How does he know that

"Yes, how do you know that?" I asked surprised
"Your second name plus you look you like your dad at his age. I was here when they got married, they were the first wedding I did when I was getting ready to take over the hotel from my father." He smiled

I could feel myself getting emotional as he spoke about them. Camila gripped my hand tightly, sensing how I was feeling

"That is why we chose this place because this is where Lauren's parents got married." Camila smiled
"And the same date too?" He replied smiling back at us
"How do you remember that? That was many years ago." I said
"They were hard to forget. I have never seen a couple such in love as your parents in the years I have done this job. They were such an incredible human beings and they always come back here for their anniversary. I was very saddened to hear about their accident." Thomas said seeing quite emotional himself

Is this where they disappeared once a year? They told us they were going away, they never told us where. I think they wanted it to be their special thing.

"Really? That's amazing and yes they were taken too soon." I said feeling a few tears slip down my cheeks
"That they were. They always talk about you and you sister Taylor. I miss them not being here every year. I was at their funeral, but you probably don't remember. You were only a teenager back then, stricken with grief and making sure that taylor was okay." Thomas said
"You were? Yes that day is still pretty much still a blur for me." I said

We chatted a little more about my parents, about the day they got married, their visits here every year...Thomas telling me stories I never knew, what started off as an emotional occasion became a happy one, sharing good memories. We sat there for over an hour before Thomas showed us around

***********************************
"This is where we usually hold the ceremony, but if you would prefer inside then that could be arranged." Thomas said as he showed us the large area where couples get married. It was beautiful, there was a large lake surrounding it, swans in the water, surrounded by a beautiful scenery. It was like something that never seemed real. I watch Camila as she was in complete awe of the place, gushing over everything and I couldn't help but smile as I watched her. She was really beautiful and I love her very much.

"The two of you remind me of your parents." Thomas said as we watched Camila admire the swans.
"We do?" I asked
"Yes, very in love with each other...happy. How long have you two been together?" He asked
"We just celebrated our one year anniversary, but we have known each other basically our entire lives, she started as Taylor's best friend. Camila and I never really got along at first, I closed off after my parents, done things I shouldn't have done and then suddenly things began to change, besides I knew what was happening, I fell in love with her. It hasn't been easy, but it was all worth it." I said smiling proudly as I spoke about her
"It's funny how life works out isn't it? Your parents would be proud, they were all for love. That is all it takes Lauren, that one person that can change you life forever." He said patting my shoulder
"It is and I don't think I can breathe right now without her." I smiled
"And that is what you call true love my friend." He said

Camila soon joined us, all smiled and excited

"Can we book it baby...please? I'm in love with this place and knowing how happy your parents were here makes me want us to get married here even more." She said wide eyed

I pulled her into me, kissing her softly before pulling her into me

"I think this place is perfect. Do you want to put a deposit down?" I asked
"The spot is yours. No rush for the deposit, pay it when you can, but I will reserve the spot for you. It would make me a happy man if I could share this day with you both the same way I did with your parents." Thomas said
"We'll take it, thank you. This has has been more amazing than I ever imagined. I can understand why my parents kept coming back here, the place looks beautiful and you are a good man." I smiled

Camila let out a squeal when I said that, jumping up and down...her excitement was adorable. The three of us chatted a little longer, arranging for us to come back for lunch in a couple of days...Taylor to come along with us

"This is gonna be perfect." I said wrapping my arms around Camila as we headed back to the car
"Yes...yes it is. I love you." Camila said reading up to kiss me
I love you too beautiful." I replied smiling into the kiss

I couldn't wait to tell Taylor about today, she would love to hear all the stories. I can't believe we've only been engaged to each other a could of days and we already have a date, and a venue for our wedding, but wouldn't have it any other way. The quicker I marry her, the happier I will be because her becoming my wife is gonna be the most amazing and special day in my life
