Like every day, Victoria woke up tired. She was sick of having the same nightmares she has almost every night. Her dreams become a real obstacle for her own sake. So, she starts the day in a terrible condition, but today is not like any other day. She has a very important job interview at a private school. Finally, she would be able to show how skillful she is in terms of literature. She has studied and read so much during her life that she thought no one would hire a book worm. Every time Victoria thinks of her hard time at College, bad memories of bullies come to her mind. Yes, she was different. Yes, she could read minds, yes... She could be better than anyone of her class, but not due to her telepathic powers, but due to her devotion towards her major.

Even though, Victoria is 113 years old, she seems like a 30-year-old woman. She has lived so many things and events in her life. Her books are her way out when she suffers, so every time she has a nightmare, she usually reads all night without wanting to pull her book away. Vicky suffers a lot when she dreams of the past. She knows that some memories have been lost and she could make them disappear from her mind, but others are just so vivid and clear that seem like real life events. Nonetheless, she didn't want to ruin the day because she wanted to shine today; that's why she dressed up with a formal outfit for the occasion. Her long black straight hair was beautifully combed and she didn't have to worry about her first impression at the job interview. She was wearing a black suit that matches her gray blouse and black high heels and purse. Now, she was ready for everything.

"Ughh. It can't be possible." Vicky claimed. "Don't wanna be late and the traffic is stuck. What's going on?" She was desperate. Her interview was in less than an hour and the cars seem not to be moving for 30 minutes. Without wasting much time, she decided to call the school, but no one answered the phone.

Victoria's motorcycle was old, but fast enough to take her to her destiny; however, she hated to disrespect the law and shorten some miles, but she knew her Harley-Davison V 1930 needed to speed, so she rode faster. After a 15-minute ride, she arrived at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Leaving her motorcycle hurriedly, Victoria took her purse and fixed her hair a bit to get into the school, but she was so worried about getting late that she didn't pay attention to the students walking in the halls. Suddenly, a copy of one of her books fell down from her purse; she turned around to pick it up, but she crashed with a person. Without looking to the person, she said:

"Sorry... I'm kind of late... It is my fault."

"Careful, kid!" A very muscular guy with a hoodie sweater and baggy pants claimed while holding her book.

"Yeah! Mmm. I shouldn't be in a hurry. I'm a bit lost. Do you know where I could find Professor Charles Xavier? I have an interview."

"Over there." He said giving her the book and pointing to an office.

"I'm Victoria." She said, but she didn't get any answer because the man only rose his head in approval when hearing her name.

Then, Victoria knocked the door and she listened to a person inviting her to come in. She entered the room where a bald man in a wheelchair talked to her.

"Good afternoon Miss. Lazo! I'm Charles Xavier and I'm glad you came."

"Thank you. I thought I would never make it."

"What do you mean?" The man asked.

"Never mind... There was a terrible traffic jam!"
