I started to walk away, hoping that Hayden would follow me, but instead he grabbed my wrist.

"Is everything really okay with Xander? You seemed pretty upset after he left." Hayden sighed, averting his eyes away from mine. "I just want to make sure that you're actually okay."

I shook my head slowly. "I don't know. I have this feeling that something isn't right."

Hayden looked surprised. "What happened?"

I don't think I should tell Hayden exactly what Xander told me. "He just didn't seem okay. He seemed like he had somewhere to be, which was very strange." I explained. "Just before he left he actually told me to stop by Yasmin's house."

Hayden nodded his head. "Okay," He mumbled. "After school, we'll stop by Yasmin's house."

By the time Hayden and I went back inside the school, first period was already over.

I knew my mom would be mad, but technically this wasn't even my fault at all. I just went outside to get one of my binders, until I heard my name being called, and when I turned around, it happened to be Xander Lu.

"Hello, Khlo?" I looked up and Kiera was looking at me with annoyance written all over her face. "Don't even think about forgiving Xander for what he did to you that night at the party."

We were all currently on lunch, and I had just told Kiera and Noah that Xander had apologized to me. "You don't understand." I mumbled looking down at my food that was now cold.

"Oh!" Kiera exclaimed, rolling her eyes. "I understand everything. I mean, even Hayden practically killed him because of what he did to you."

I glanced over at Hayden but he wasn't looking at me. He was looking past me. I then sighed looking away from him. "Noah, please help me here."

"Relax, babe." Noah said softly as he gently grabbed Kiera's hand. "Khloe is right. I think that something is wrong." Noah sighed as he looked down at the ground. "Xander actually called me this morning."

My eyes widened. "What did he say?"

Noah shrugged his shoulders. "It was all very confusing." He explained as he tugged on his short blonde hair. "He sounded like he was in a rush."

"Exactly." Hayden nodded his head. "When I saw him talking to Khloe, he seemed like he had somewhere important to be."

"What did he say exactly?" Kiera questioned as she looked over at Noah. "I've never seen him act so strange."

"Yeah," Noah nodded his head in agreement. "When I first answered the phone, I just asked him where the hell he's been. He only said that he was very sorry, and that I was still his best friend no matter what."

"Weird." I mumbled, "When I talked to Xander, he basically said the same thing." I did leave out some important details. I wasn't going to say anything until I talked to Yasmin. "He seemed very sorry, which is what got my attention. I was really worried about him, so I asked him if we could talk more, maybe after school."

"What did he say?" Hayden questioned, glancing over at me.

"He said that he doesn't have much time." I stated. "Then he gave me a hug and said that he hopes he'll see me again soon."
