Book of Inhumans

The Great Darkening

     Since the Great Darkening all the world's former creatures other than humans have ceased to exist. I do not know much of this event as I was not alive at the time, but from what others have heard from the ones before them it was disastrous and killed everything off. The "sun" disappeared and has left the world a desolate wasteland full of dust and death. Many say that they heard the sky's were filled with vortexes of sorts, others say the world shook harder than any earthquake could have shaken it. Some others don't think that there even was a Great Darkening and that our world has always been like this and that there was never anything before this. I personally am open to discussion on this topic as I don't have any evidence on it much other than the fact that every once and a while a newcomer from out of our humble community of Green Leaf will describe strange bones and wilted plants that look of nothing they had ever seen. I still do not know if the bones are those of Inhumans I have not seen the likes of, or, if these are creatures that have disappeared since the Darkening. One thing is for sure though, Inhumans did not exist before the Great Darkening if there was one.

     I have a couple of theories on this topic. The first is that the event somehow attracted the Inhumans. It may have been the sudden lack of sunlight as one of my Inhumans, to be referred to as Rico quite dislikes light. Torchlight, electriclight, and other light. It could have been the possible seismic activity since Cheepers and Taznats enjoy inhabiting ravines and other sorts of cave systems. It could also be that what possibly attracted them is unbeknownst to me.

My second theory has to do with vortexes and storms said to appear in the sky. Some have said that they are less of vortexes and more of tunnels. It gives me the idea that we may possibly all just be living in an very large underground cave and that the Inhumans may have decided to come live down here for some unprecedented reason. Maybe the "Sunlight" was too bright or too hot, maybe there was a lack of prey, or they very much could have possibly just gotten bored. Either way I have never seen these vortexes and if there were tunnels they may not be there anymore since I have never seen anything falling from the sky before that was unexplainable or living. I also do not understand how some Inhumans would survive this large fall. 

      My final theory is that these strange objects may be temporal displacements and that Inhumans may be other dimensional beings. It would make more sense of the fact that Inhumans are so unique. We never know what lurks outside of our own realm of being, or maybe we do. I myself am open to opinions as I have stated as long as they aren't nonsensical, as I am a reasonable woman. The topic of the Great Darkening is an Interesting one, may your journeys take you far in life.
