"Goodluck to us!" I stated with a wide smile in front of everyone.
Our study will end here, right at this moment. I study all their faces, some are smiling and others are quite bothered. Smiling dahil sa wakas ay matatapos na ang lahat ng paghihirap na kanilang dinaranas. And bothered dahil oo nga, tapos na ngunit walang kasiguraduhan ang lahat.
Walang nakakaalam kung makakapasa ba kami sa Philippines Bar Exam. There are only few months left for us to review. And I'm sure na hindi magiging madali para sa aming lahat ito.
Humugot ako ng malalim na hininga bago nagsalita, "Guys, don't think too much. We will ace the Philippines Bar Exam, okay? Don't be so negative. You know your capabilities."
"Sana nga. Natatakot ako na baka walang kahahantungan ang lahat ng ito. We suffered a lot and I'm scared na baka ay hindi natin makamit ang ating inaasam-asam." one of my closest classmate said, Erika. Her face tells me that she is so lonely and really bothered.
Napatango naman ang ilan sa kanila at 'yung iba ay parang nag-iisip. Isa-isa ko ulit silang tiningnan. We've been together for 4 years at nakita ko silang bumagsak at umangat. They are my family here in University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law. At isa lang ang gusto kong mangyari at 'yun ay ang makapasa kaming lahat at makuha ang aming law degree.
"Whatever the result is, let's just be happy for the rest of our lives. We are fighters and survivors and I'm sure that we'll touch the sky." Ngumiti sila at direkta akong tiningnan sa mata.
I can now see hope in their faces. Ganiyan nga, huwag tayong mawalan ng pag-asa.
Nagulat naman ako nang tumayo silang lahat and shouted, "We are fighters and survivors and we will touch the sky!" At sabay-sabay rin silang lahat sa pagtawa.
Nakaramdam ako ng sobrang saya. Their determination warms my heart and somehow put me in paradise.
Binigyan ko sila ng malawak na ngiti. Isang ngiti na nagsasabing— magtatagumpay tayong lahat.
"We're future prosecutors, lawyers, jurists, and those jobs which have the law degree—name it all, we are made for the society and people. Alam ko at alam niyo na kaya natin ito, ngayon pa ba tayo susuko?"
Ngayon pa ba kami susuko? Right now that we almost reach the top? No can do. As what I told them, we are fighters and survivors.
I will never give up. I am born for this. I am born to be a prosecutor.
Pain and sufferings, they're just temporary and it'll be fixed.
But dream is forever so chase for it.
