Blessed is the morning before it has begun.
Just as me, just as you.
Night is the mother giving birth to the sun.
Just as me, just as you.
Slowly comes that brand new babe, as our world turns
Just as me, just as you.
Light splits across the low sky, making raw umber hues,
Just as me, just as you,
We are just shadows in this baby light.
Just as me, just as you.
Giving all the new day delight
Just as me, just as you.
The answer to this simple rule, is heard in the trees
Just as me just as you.
With the birds singing in the new day,
Unlike me, what about you?
