Ferris Bueller's Day Off is probably the most inspiring 80s movie I've seen. It makes me want to live my life to the fullest and enjoy every moment cause: (how many times have I quoted this now?) "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around every once in a while, you could miss it."
Also: "A person should not believe in an 'ism.' He should believe in himself." Lmao.
Another one of my life's goals is to sing "Twist and Shout" on a random parade float. Given my social anxiety, and the heightened presence of security in a post 9/11 world, I probably do have a better chance of being an extra cast in Stranger Things lmao.
EDIT!!! I don't know what I was thinking, I forgot Dead Poet's Society was an 80s movie lol. Those 1989 ones allude me sometimes.
Dead Poet's Society is my absolute favorite most inspiring 80s movie oh my gosh. I absolutely adore it with all my heart.
Honorable Mention: E.T. The Extraterrestrial
As an aspiring filmmaker, this Spielberg classic is inspiring to me in a more sentimental way, as it was one of the first 80s movies I saw and one I remember being so moved by as a kid. It's truly magical, and I hope to create something as beautiful as it someday.
