"Good job Min"
"Neat but focus on the details Abby"
"No hope from you Alex, as always"
"And Lay....... Not submitted, as usual. I really don't know how you entered this university."
This class has always been the best one yet there has to be one student that gives me a hard time. Lay Abrahams has never been considerate towards his studies, never do any assignments yet still scores decent marks. What worries me isn't his studies but his distraught and tongue-tied behavior. Since day one, I have never seen him interact with anybody, sometimes I wonder if something bothers him, but the way his incongruous behavior continues it seems more out of the odds. His segregation makes everyone distant from him and makes him nonexistent.
People barely or never heard him talk or rather heard his voice, the only person who shows any interest in him is our loyal president, Max, I wouldn't be surprised if I heard Max pulling up another prank on someone but when Lay is the target, that's the only time we would hear a whine coming from lay's mouth which also barely.
I was bought back to reality when Max entered the class and handed me a file.
"What's that Max?"
"You have a new student, starting next semester, don't worry, it won't be another lay" Max whispered with a slight smile.
Despite students not liking me, Max always treated all his teachers equally. Notwithstanding his frank behavior with me, I told him off with a genuine smile, and with that, he took his leave.
I opened the file and read the information given about the new girl joining next semester. Millie Collins, it said, I thought she would be another normal student but little did I know the surprises the future had in store.
