Loneliness breeds bitterness
I know this to be true.
Resent, utter regret and the deepest hatred
All inwardly begins to brew.
Anger burns the embers
Stirring the damaged goods stew.
It was you and then me.
In retrospect, it was all a mistake.
I can see.
Such a harsh realization
To learn the absolute truth
Of invaluable wasted time.
How uncouth to presume naivete
Of any kind.
Despite it all,
I know I'd want to try to grow in love once more.
So, go ahead and feel sorry for yourself.
Then, let it pass through you.
