Neverending condescending fate
Harbors love and hate.
Neither can exist without the other.
No.
Conscience lurking undercover,
Faithfully serving as your own spiritual guide.
It's your pride.
And everything that makes you...
You!
It's not a fluke.
You must rebuke every demon
In darkness and in brightness to
Obtain your light.
An illumination so bright
And fitfully so right.
You'd wish it were your soul.
Age-old
And now reborn anew.
Again and again.
Born to sin and die.
Then retry at your best or worst,
If you're lucky.
