"I'd just like to get to know you more."
She stood there silently for a moment, was this even real?
No, this had to all be a dream.
Klavier awkwardly smiled,
"So... is that a maybe?"
Y/n blinked a few times, realizing she totally forgot to respond.
"No! I mean, yes.. of course?"
He laughed.
"You seem unsure."
"I'm not! Sorry, I'm just pretty happy."
She said with a small laugh as well.
Klavier felt very happy and warm, finding her honesty and boldness pretty charming.
"Great well, I'll probably need your number."
"Right!"
The two exchanged numbers before saying goodbye.
And Y/n felt it, that thrill that she got every time she and klavier talked.
Man, she couldn't wait to go to that concert with him.
——
When she arrived home she felt her phone buzz in her pocket, she took off her shoes and hung her hoodie on the coatrack before plopping onto the couch.
It was from Apollo.
"Hey Y/n. Sorry for being so distant."
Y/n smiled, even though she should be mad at him it was hard not to miss him.
"It's okay, how are you doing?"
"I could be better. I just wanted to talk to you about yesterday..."
Finally, she could get some answers.
"I just don't know how to feel really. Do you actually like klavier? Or was I off there?"
"Well, Yeah I guess I do like him.. But why did you tell klavier to not get any ideas with me!?"
"... how do you know about that?"
"He told me."
"You were with him today!?"
"Yeah! Why should it matter to you?"
Apollo stopped responding for a bit, and Y/n thought she may have come off a little too aggressive. But then she saw he was typing again.
"Y/n. Getting close to him is not a great idea. Not to be rude, but he probably doesn't even care about you. That jerk doesn't care about anyone. Just himself."
That was quite the harsh description of klavier.
She wanted to type back an angry message about how he had no right to talk about him like that but he'd already sent another text.
"I see him in court all the time, I know how he is.. and I do not want to see you get your heart broken okay?"
Y/n didn't know how to respond, it seemed like he was genuinely caring for her, but this was her crush he was talking about; she couldn't deny It still made her a little angry.
"Apollo. Are you sure you know what your talking about?"
"Of course I am Y/n. I'm your friend I'd never lie to you... I mean come on! You can tell he's putting on an act everyday.. nobody is that friendly and calm. And I'm pretty sure he's not even german!"
"Well yeah.. I would've guessed that last one."
"Y/n, I'm pretty mad at you for not telling me you liked him sooner. But as your best friend, I'm telling you that you have to get over that jerk before it's too late."
"...Apollo."
"Just promise me you won't hang around him..? Please? I know you like him but, he's not good for you at all."
Y/n stared at the text he had just sent. She thought about the concert klavier invited her to, she wasn't really going to give that up for Apollo was she?
But maybe... this was her one chance at making things right.
At the same time, hanging out with klavier was so tempting!
She hated herself for the decision she made in that moment.
"Okay, I promise."
Her heart was pounding, she felt so guilty blatantly lying to her best friend.
But she didn't want to give up on klavier, even if he was bad news like Apollo said.
"I'm so glad! I know it might hurt at first, but one day you're going to thank me."
"Right. I'll talk to you later :)"
"Bye. :)"
She took a deep breath and put the phone down.
she felt a rush of happiness and guilt Course through her.
She was glad things were good with her and Apollo again, but were things being good all because of a lie even good at all?
Her phone buzzed again,
"Hey, heres the date of the concert. I also realized I totally forgot to tell you who's concert it is."
Y/n read the text from klavier, and she was shocked -it was her favourite singer!- she was hesitant at first, but then she quickly responded.
"Alright, can't wait!"
