It was pretty late by the time Y/n had arrived home with Simon.
Her decision to let him stay at her house was a very spontaneous move, I mean, she didn't even have any time to prepare for him coming over.
he was staying for the next couple of weeks, just like that.
It wasn't like he had any boxes of belongings in that cold dark cell he was kept in; however, it was shocking that the police let him keep a large katana.
'Dark age of the law I guess..'
Y/n slowly opened the door and flicked on the light switch.
Her apartment had a nice feel to it, with a couple pictures on the wall of her with her family and friends, a potted plant that Phoenix had gifted her, and a bunch of other little things she impulsively bought at the mall.
But now there was a bit of an issue, where was Simon going to sleep?
Y/n didn't have an extra bedroom, and would she be a jerk if she made the guest sleep on her couch?
"Are you alright Y/n? You're a lot more silent than usual."
A warm happy feeling spread through Y/n's chest -he cares about me?- she smiled and nodded.
"Of course Simon, I was just thinking about... uh, do you want to sleep on my bed?"
She asked.
And for the first time, Simon seemed genuinely taken aback, could it possibly have been out of her kindness?
Y/n couldn't tell, but for once he seemed like he didn't really know what to say.
"W-Well... that would be a little strange? Wouldn't it?"
His voice sounded a little more strained than usual.
Y/n felt a little insecure, wondering why he would find that weird until the realization hit her, and she felt her face go red.
"Oh! Right."
Her voice nervously wavered with a small laugh.
"I meant like, I'd sleep on the couch... and you would sleep on my bed."
Gosh, being around Simon made her so nervous.
He probably thought she was an idiot for not mentioning that earlier didn't he?
He cleared his throat,
"I see...."
Y/n had to admit, it was cute to see such a seemingly emotionless man getting all flustered right in front of her.
But it didn't last for long.
"I think that it wouldn't be very fair though, you've already been so kind thus far, and I don't mind sleeping on the couch."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes... I'm sure, thank you Y/n, you are truly a beautiful person inside and out."
The room suddenly felt hotter, Y/n never took Simon to be such a flatterer.
She smiled and quickly said. "No problem." Before walking over to turn on the tv.
a samurai movie appeared on the screen, it wasn't the type of thing Y/n would usually watch, but Simon seemed to find it interesting.
He sat down on the couch and payed full attention to it.
He seemed so captivated by the fighting, and it kind of looked like he was taking notes about the way they were talking.
How cute.
Y/n walked over into the kitchen, which was in the same room as the living room, separated by the change of tiles.
"Do you want anything?"
she asked as she poured herself a glass of water.
Simon dazily responded,
"popcorn.. maybe? I haven't had that in a while."
"Sure!"
Y/n put a bag of popcorn in the microwave and set it to two minutes.
And even though Simon didn't ask, she also poured him a glass of water too.
She walked over and placed the bowl on the table, then quickly skipped back over to the kitchen to get the water for them both; placing them down on opposite sides of the bowl.
"This is my favourite part.."
Simon murmured, as what Y/n was assuming was the good guy; sliced the bad guy in half.
She winced and covered her eyes to shield them from the gory scene happening on the screen.
The dark haired male glanced over at her, and a small chuckle escaped from his lips.
"It's not real, Y/n."
"It's kind of gross though..."
She said quietly, suddenly feeling kind of embarrassed.
Simon didn't care though, he grinned and said.
"You wouldn't mind staying up and watching a bunch of these with me, would you? That way you'll get used to the blood."
Now watching a bunch of movies she wasn't interested in, wasn't a very appealing offer.
Spending the whole night by Simons side?
That was something she couldn't refuse.
And it would definitely make him feel more comfortable...
"....I guess, Sure!"
To her surprise, it wasn't as boring as she thought it would be.
Sure, she didn't find the movies all that interesting, but she and Simon had quite a long conversation.
It started off with him talking about why he liked samurai movies so much, but after a while he began talking about more personal things.
Y/n decided to share a few things that happened in her life, she didn't know what it was, but it felt Simon was someone she could tell anything to.
She was definitely paying more attention to Simon than she was to the movies playing.
And it seemed like, he was enjoying her company too?
It was too bad that after a couple movies, Y/n got a little too tired, and fell asleep on the couch.
To be continued
A/n: Well that was a crappy way to end things, but hey, I'm trying here. :,)
