Jared's POV

I'm discreetly following [Y/N] around even if we decided to split up.

I just can't stop staring at her. I've never seen someone so perfect—

She's heading to her locker now and I'm hiding behind a corner. I use my phone for a bit and decided to look again.

[Y/N] Shook my shoulder and yelled causing me to almost drop my phone but I caught it in time.

"STOP IT WITH THE JUMPSCARES [Y/N]"

I accidentally yelled a bit ... not a bit ... I yelled too loud. She looked at the ground and fidgeted with her shirt. She mumbled a 'sorry' and I wanted to apologize back. But I'm the dick friend and I am NOT soft— I rolled my eyes and continued to use my phone.

She was still standing there so I put my phone in my pocket, crossed my arms and decided to speak to her.

"So, what do you want?"

I say in a bit of a cold tone

"For you to not be mad at me"

She's so fucking adorable—

"Why would I be mad?"

It sounded more stupid than I thought.

"Because.. you almost dropped your phone when I jumped at you?"

She says in an interrogative tone

"Not mad, pissed but whatever"

I shot the words out of my mouth and she took out a paper bag from her bag.

"Heere, take this peace offering"

I took the paper bag and raised an eyebrow at her. It was the sandwiches she made for us... I think I left it but wait, there's something else. I tried to hide my smile through a smirk and looked at her.

"so you think this'll redeem you?"

I stated and she smiled oh so brightly while moving her head up and down.

"well, it sure did, shortstuff"

She frowned at the nickname and I wrap my arm around her neck to pull her closer to me.

"You're still shorter"

She pushes away from me and glares at me. I returned her a laugh seeing how cute she is when mad.
