🔪Sometimes memories are the worst form of torture🔪

Knife sighed in his gruff voice, reaching into his sleeping bag.

"I'm surprised someone like you kept it." You said, threading a needle.

Knife shrugged. "I guess it really meant a lot to me," he pulled out his torn-up Dora doll, embarrassment written all over his face, "but I'm surprised someone like you offered to help me with this."

You shrugged as well. "You've been so weirdly nice to me, so I don't see why not."

"And you promised not to laugh, remember?" He growled.

Nodding profusely, you reassured, "Yes, yes!"

He handed you the beaten-up doll. It had been the same one since he got it last season. The one he kept with him through his stay at Idiotic Island to keep him sane. You began your work, patching up the holes and rips and tears that the "ghost" had done.

"Sometimes, just having this doll makes me ashamed of myself..." he admitted.

You cocked your head to the side, still focused on fixing the doll, "Hm?"

Knife hesitated for a moment, "you know, the Trophy incident. But don't interrupt me, I don't tell others these things often."

He continued, "I felt gross about myself. Even still, I feel like it's not right to have a doll, especially the kind of object I am."

Your eyes softened when you looked up to him. "What others think doesn't matter, even a bit. Honestly, it doesn't change my view of you any more. I still think you're really cool, even knowing you have a Dora doll."

You knotted up the thread, finalizing your work, and you handed the doll back to him. "Sometimes, memories are the worst form of torture."

He smiled, setting the doll aside to stand up to your level. Then, much to your surprise, he placed a soft kiss to your lips and pulled away, a grey hue dusting the blade.

"I guess they are."
