"We found a cyborg in the last remains. Maybe it could be useful?"
Madame walked around the cyborg and turned to her guards. "Yes, it could !" Her eyes lit up in wonder.
Two guards grab the cyborg's heavy arms, nonchalantly carrying it back to the van. All around was dark and misty, and Madame starred off into it.
"There used to be great civilization here once...sad it had to be burned and removed, it was a tragedy", but in her voice, there was no sound of remorse. She already had taken off one glove as she began to visit the memory lane of what life used to be. Her other tender arm from the high burgundy glove was revealed as she continued.
"But no need for all the sadness; it's time for a new uprising, new order." Madame turned from the mist and headed back towards the bright lights beaming from the van. She was a straight woman. Nothing seemed to excite her more than being in control. And control is what she had.
They drove their way down a long slim road and continued to push for eighty miles making their way back to the dark alleyways.
All three jump out of the shuttle van dragging the cyborg too. "Where do you want me to put this?"
The guards were full of anticipation. What would Madame do with this cyborg? The coding of the cyborg was far more intelligent than any ordinary human, so what task could Madame possibly assign that would live up to what it is designed to be?
The questions were finally put to rest. Madame looked deep into the cyborg's dead eyes and smirked. This caught the men off guard. With part of her hair covering her slim, defined face, she looked at her guards with her left eye, strong enough to cut through metal, "Put him in the lab; I have an experiment."
..............................
Four falls passed by in no time. There were no cheers in the streets of people celebrating, only cold lonely winds that seemed to praise the absence of the two-legged immigrants that once walked the Earth.
Dead bodies in the street made great scraps for animals and pets suddenly left behind.
Rats scurried away from their humane feast as lights approached them in the "Forbidden Woods."
Madame was determined to capture every 'infected human'; it seemed as though it was all humans.
"Now that's more like it.", she said as she saw nothing but darkness, trees, and mist. "Have you spotted any survivors?" Madame asked her chauffeur. He silently shook his head no. She let down her window and looked out into the darkness for reassurance that her work was complete. She looked for a minute or two, hoping to see a movement, hoping there was a lost soul. In the end, nothing came, and she closed her eyes and reached for the window button. As it rolled up, she gave one final look.
To her calling, a woman appeared. She was coming forward slowly. The coldness around catches her breath as it leaves her mouth and sends it across the woods and into the sky. Instead of collecting her, she smirked and dismissed her driver.
The woman left a mark on Madame's head. She'd spotted her a few times while she was out collecting, but she seemed to overlook her, never making her apart. As if she meant to leave her.
"Head to the simulator; it's time for the new beginning." She delivered in a honeyed tone.
The chauffeur glanced in his rear view mirror as he followed the orders of the disembodied voice.
