The Sin of Pride

Once a man there lived,
Small and weak,
Stick he was,
Blown away by the wind.

Arose the mighty sun,
Along with the man of history,
Heavy Armor that he wore
Shone golden in the dark.

Unfortunate he remained,
Powers that came during rise,
And shine alone made him
Another that shone on surface.

Powers that came,
Brought his sin along,
For he stood tall,
More proud than sane.

Divine axe of one,
He and he alone who held
"Rhitta"¹ called he,
Flying it came like an arrow.

Came the commandment²
Love³ it was he faced,
None that could move
Golden Armor that took step,
Held up by hatred,
All could not help but stare.

Pity and pity alone,
Reason for step he took
Castle hill that shook,
Awakening of the mighty sun.

Axe the sun that held,
Dagger called out by love,
Axe that swung with force,
With no effect stood love.

Wounded hand of the sun
Wielding axe in the same,
Proud of pain
That he felt of his own.

Returned fist of fire,
Blocked by love,
Yet driven to knees
That Shook the breeze.

Summoned the blazing sun
In one that he had,
Melting Armor that
Soldiers bore in despair

Pushed love out of his heart,
Lake to the east he reached,
"Pretty death you won't have"
Said he as the summer unleashed

"Monster" "they" called the man.
Once so weak, Knew the feeling,
Vapours he made,
From the lake once so great.

Arose he with dagger in hand,
To conquer light with black,
Wind that blew sang,
The apparent fall of mighty sun.

Black hope that appeared,
Burned away with scorching heat
Noon it was,
Shackles that released.

Summoned the mighty sun,
Decision that remained,
Thought to be in hands of love,
That never was.

Sun that burned away love,
Across mountains to come,
Arose the mighty sun,
Shone light upon the surface.
