Steven X Reader

You and Steven were hanging out at the Temple. The day was still young, while the gems were on a mission. At the moment you and Steven were on the bed, watching Crying Breakfast Friends. The show wasn't particularly your cup of tea, but you would still watch it for the boy. There wasn't a day that went by when you to weren't together. You guys were inseparable!

"Steven.. Can we do something else?" You asked, obviously bored. Steven chuckled softly. "Sure! Uh, what do you want to do?" He asked with a shrug as he looked at you. You thought for a moment. "How about we go on our own adventure?" You suggested with stars in your eyes. "It'll be fun!" You added. Steven sat there for a moment. "Where to though?" He thought as he then smiled. "I know! Follow me!" He said as the both of you hopped up and went to the warp pad.

Steven had warped you to the island that he was at with Sadie and Lars. He looked excited. "Ta-Da!" He smiled dorkishly as he chuckled, looking at you. You looked around, syncing in all of the scenery. It was phenomenal! You haven't seen this much green in one place. "Steven.. It's beautiful!" You smiled and hugged him. The male blushed softly as he hugged you back. The two of you liked each other very much, but didn't say anything. You didn't want to mess anything up with Steven. As in, to make things awkward between the two of you.

You didn't realize it, but you were still hugging him. It soon hit you as you quickly let go. "S-Sorry!" You chuckled sheepishly as you cleared your throat. "Lead the way, good sir." You smiled as he chuckled. "As long as you follow." He responded, smiling as he began walking.   You followed behind him happily as he stayed alert. "Be careful. I'm not sure if there are any gems here.." He mumbled softly, looking at you. You nodded as you stayed alert as well. After a while, he had lead you guys to the middle of the island. You looked around in awe as you smiled.

"Steven! This is amazing!" You looked at him, blushing softly. There was a hill, revealing the shining ocean. You and him began walking up, sitting down once you got there. You admired the scene, leaning against Steven a bit. "This is an amazing view, Steven." You spoke softly with a smile. Steven nodded. "Agreed. But you want to know what else is amazing?" He asked as you looked up at him. "What's that?" You asked curiously. "You." Steven blushed softly with a smile. He wrapped an arm around you, holding you close.

There was silence. Not an awkward one, more like a very peaceful one. You smiled and relaxed into his chest. You finally spoke up. "You're a lot more amazing than I am, Steven." You chuckled softly, feeling his hand against yours. He was sweating a bit as he intertwined your fingers together. "(Y/N)?" He looked at you. "Yeah?" You replied, blushing deeply as you felt a pair of lips land on yours. You instantly melted into the kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck with a soft hum, tangling your hand into his hair.

You had been yearning for this moment forever. It was worth the wait. You had a feeling that he had this planned out in some sort of way.  You smiled as you two pulled away slowly. "I'm sorry.. I couldn't help it." You chuckled softly as you kissed him one last time. "Steven, it's okay.. I liked it." You blushed softly as he held you close. "(Y/N), I like you.. A lot.." He spoke quietly. I like you more, dork." You giggled and ruffled his hair as you leaned against him softly. "I just don't like you though, Steven.." You spoke, pausing for a moment. "I love you." He smiled and placed his forehead against yours. "I love you more."
