Chapter 20

The ride home was awkward and quiet the only time we talked was the second hour in the trip when we stopped at a gas station

and i asked mum if she wanted anything "coffee" she replied with a blank expression on her face i got out of the car and walked into the gas station

i was starving and decided to get a bag of crisps and a slushy i got mum a coffee and payed for it all

i walked back to the car and gave mum her coffee "thanks hun how much do i owe u?" She asked looking at me "nothing mum its alright the coffee is on me" "thanks" she replied

We had finally reached home and we unpacked the car and decided to go staright to bed since we were both tired and shocked

i went up to my room and unpacked my suitcase i put on some nano pink pj shorts and a oversized black top i grabbed my laptop and sniggled into bed

i opened my macbook and went onto twitter but there was nothing excited so i decided to whatch a movie i was half-way through 'mean girls' when my phone lit up it was a message from Jake

JAKE: hey lexi im so sorry for how i acted

ME: its fine Jake

JAKE: sorry i have to go txt u lata :)xx

Me: by buddy see ya lata :)xoxo

I finished off 'mean girls' and was about to change the movie when i heard a tap on my window i walked over

Jake was standing there crying on my balcany i quickly opened my balcany door and ran to him picking him up and taking him into the house "what are you doing her and how did you get here?" i asked him confused

"dad left me about a street away and i walked here he said he couldn't take living with me anymore" Jake sobbed

mum walked into the room "whats all the crying abo....JAKE?" she screamed and ran to him

the first time in two days i finally saw her smile i smiled to "jakes staying" i said to mum who was even more happy when she heard it

Everything was finally in its place we got a call 3 days later saying that the police have arrested dad and he was in prison everything was back to normal and i was back to fighting.
