A girl entered into the building with a bright smile on her lips, carrying a bouquet of flowers wishing everyone on her way. She walked with her bold steps into a cabin. Stroking the name plate on the door with love and misty eyes she entered. Placing the flower on the neatly kept desk with a bright smile, she closed the door softly. She stood outside looking at the door with misty eyes; recalling the past.

Annika a bubbly girl just joined the hospital as an oncologist. Specializing in oncology was her dream and she was successful. But reason of her happiness laid some where else. It was in the senior Oncologist Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi. The doctor who was synonym to perfection. Treating a disease as serious as cancer and yet making other patients have faith in him was something he made seem so easy. From treating all the patients with all the love and care, till being soft and caring to his juniors; he was indeed an epitome of gentleman. And Annika, fell for this nature. But thankfully for Annika, the spark didn't flew from just her sides. Her way of treating others, being calm in most adverse conditions and her dedication to her work captured the heart of Mr. Oberoi as well.

First two months of sweet and short coffee moments in canteen discussing about cases converted into them discussing about their personal likes and dislikes soon. Though none propose but both were aware of the feelings without any word.

All were good in Annika's love paradise until, one fine morning she found her Shivaay absent on the day of a major operation. The doctor who rarely takes leaves being absent during a major operation was something shocking. But being the dedicated doctor she handled it all with utmost perfection with help of others. But after the OT when she was to go for a round she was prevented from visiting a particular part of the department.

Days turned into month but neither Shivaay was seen nor that section opened for her. It was the 6th month that her patience broke and she barged into that particular cabin. What she witnessed was enough to kill her without a bullet. There was her Shivaay, lying on his death bed. The best oncologist in town counting his last minutes, due to cancer. It was Cancer's way of revenge for rescuing many lives from its clutches.

Shivaay knew how hurt Annika was. Taking her hand in his he just took promise, "Let Me Go Annika. Now, even I don't have powers to keep me here. But stay strong and never let the smile go. I can trust only you to serve the patients as I did. I'll live Annika, in your work, in you."

Remembering the day the traitor tears slipped again without her permission. Wiping them with a smile she moved ahead to her cabin. The name plate shining bright.
