C A S S I E

When I stepped out of the house, I realized I would need a car to get to where I wanted to go. Kathryn was just walking up the driveway and almost ran into me while coming up the porch steps."Hey, Kath!" I chirped. She paused and looked up, her face flushed red.
"Hey, Cassie, where you headed?" She asked and leaned against the guardrail.
"The store and to get some coffee but I just realized I don't have a car to drive so I gotta go ask Mark," I said and started turning to walk back inside.
"Oh! You can use mine, I won't be needing it for a while, just bring it back in one piece and by at least eight tonight." Kathryn said and unexpectedly tossed me her keys.
"Wow! Uh, thank you!" I smiled and slid the keys into my pocket."See ya later then!" She chuckled and walked in the door leaving me alone on the steps. I hopped into her car and drove to the mall about thirty minutes away. It was strange being in my old neighborhood for some reason. It had only been one week since I left it, but it felt like forever. Surprisingly I hadn't been getting many texts from May, or my boss seeing how I was doing except for last Monday. As I walked through the mall, I found myself going to Michael's craft store. I planned on getting a new sketchbook since using my laptop wasn't as enjoyable. Twenty minutes later I walked out with a sketchbook, and new pencils, and cute flower erasers, and a little cactus plant that I couldn't help myself from buying. Ok look I know I got more that what I came for.

I always spent more money then intentional when going to art stores, but hey, new stuff. Next was a quick trip to La Senza to pick up one of the perfumes they have there. I was in and out in five minutes. I walked around for another hour or maybe two looking in stores and buying some random junk that I wouldn't use and a few outfits. I checked my phone and realized it was one in the afternoon and started to get hungry. I got back in my car and drove to the little coffee shop that sold mine and Mays favorite grilled chicken sandwich. As I was waiting for my meal, I turned around to see an all to familiar face at the table across the room. Her dark red hair that fell just to her shoulders, her golden tanned skin, and the perfect posture.
"Mayelle?" I called out and walked closer to her. She turned to me,
"Cassie!" Her eyes lit up the fireworks before I knew it I was in her tight embrace. May was taller than me, so I found myself being suffocated by her breasts. We were both giggling while our other friend Maddie sat at table beside us. She had her dark brown hair tied up and wore a short-sleeved floral shirt. Maddie and I had been friends since before the fire happened. The only reason I didn't burn up like the rest of my family was that I was staying the night at her house for the fifth time that week.

We managed to stay in contact through the foster homes and reconnect when I ran off. Maddie stood up and pulled me into a hug as well.
"Holy shit dude I haven't seen you for almost two years!" She laughed and looked me up and down. Maddie moved to Arkansas when we were nineteen, so I didn't see her much anymore.
"That's true. So what are you doing down here?" I asked and looked at the two girls.
"I moved back! I'm right beside your bosses house. What's his name, Justin?" Maddie scrunched up her face.
"Jacob, and thank god! I thought I'd never see you anymore!" I giggled. The two girls sat back down, and I pulled a chair from another table for myself.
"Latte and grilled chicken for Cassie?" The person behind the counter called out. I put out my finger to say "one second" as I retrieved my lunch. After I sat back down, we had a long conversation and caught up with each other. May wanted to know every detail about the gang and Maddie wanted to know the same. ‪Four pm‬ was slowly creeping up, and I realized it was probably time to get back home. We said our goodbyes and all went our ways. I received a text from Amy when I got into the car. I opened my phone to see multiple pictures of intoxicated me with a bottle of alcohol as Ethan said. And I was wearing absolutely nothing waist up. I let out a groan as I continued to swipe through the pictures that were telling a story of what happened last night.

A picture of me dancing, A picture of me trying to get into Ethan's pants, (Literally, both my hands were deep in his jeans while he looked shocked and confused.) Another of me being carried by Tyler after what looked like throwing up all over the floor.(Ethan was right, it was everywhere) And then the last picture of Tyler looking like he was ready to end it all as I vomited all down the back of his shirt.
"At least the drinks pink."
