Although what came next was something that knocked the wind right out of Soonyoung's chest.
"I don't allow it." A deep and angered tone cut through the tension, much like Soonyoung had hoped for - although not with the response he'd ever have wanted to hear.

All eyes fell upon Seungcheol who had raised his face away from his clenched hands, his eyes still holding the same hostility they'd gathered the moment Mingyu had finished talking. But there also seemed to be something else swimming through his dark brown orbs, but now wasn't the time to question what that extra emotion was.
Soonyoung let out a soft whimper as he raised his free hand to grip onto the sleeve of Mingyu's black plain t-shirt. His body turning slightly so their clasped hands were resting against his thigh whilst Mingyu's arm that Soonyoung was clutching on to pressed against the older male's chest.

Mingyu's face dropped, tanned features showing disbelief at first before suddenly morphing into rage. The younger male felt the way Soonyoung clung to him and it twisted his stomach in knots just knowing how hurt Soonyoung must have been feeling - because he too was feeling the exact same pain.
Mingyu turned his body just enough to reach his free hand up and behind Soonyoung's head, long digits sliding into the soft black hair of the older before pulling Soonyoung in close. Their positioning had now changed so Mingyu could hold Soonyoung against his chest and in his embrace - keeping Soonyoung close to his heart in hopes to offer comfort to the older male in the only way he knew how, leaving Soonyoung's back to face Seungcheol and the other members. Meanwhile he still never let go of Soonyoung's hand.

"What do you mean you don't allow it?!" Mingyu questioned, tone fueled with his own wave of hostility. He'd promised Soonyoung he wouldn't let anything come between them and he was damn certain he'd keep that promise.

Wonwoo appeared just as shocked by Seungcheol's objection, whilst Hansol and Minghao hung their heads low - their own struggles made to feel ten times worse hearing such a reaction from their leader.
Soonyoung's hand that had at first been gripping Mingyu's arm was now desperately clutching at Mingyu's chest, holding the material of his t-shirt between trembling fingers as tears threatened to streak down his cheeks. He pressed his eyelids firmly closed in hopes to stop any tears from falling however nothing seemed to stop them from soaking the tips of his eyelashes and cascading down his pale cheeks - cheeks which had been made paler given the situation.

"You heard me, Mingyu. Don't raise your voice with me." Seungcheol bit back, though despite his obvious anger, he stayed poised and stern - that thin strand of control was hanging on.

"Yes I did hear you, what I'm trying to work out is why on Earth you had the nerve to say that." Mingyu grit his teeth, his rather large canines poking out slightly as he scowled. It was almost animalistic.
He knew that Seungcheol's opinion was perhaps the one that mattered the most from all the members as he was the groups Leader after all, however Mingyu had never imagined the situation to turn out like this; at least not with such anger. He'd never seen Seungcheol look so angry before, but knowing that anger was directed towards himself and Soonyoung just completely boiled his blood; Soonyoung didn't deserve such judgement and rage aimed his way.
They couldn't help how they felt.

"Mingyu, enough!" Jeonghan called out, though his tone lacked any ounce of authority. The softly spoken male still held his usual angelic like tone but it still seemed soaked by sadness. Every few seconds, Jeonghan would take a glance to his side at Seungcheol and it only seemed to amplify his sadness each time, "He has his reasons..."

"Oh, does he now? Care to explain them then??" Mingyu's anger was building with each passing moment. He finally released Soonyoung's hand just to wrap his arm around Soonyoung's waist trying to pull him in even closer as he felt his t-shirt grow wet level with Soonyoung's face. In the mean time, Soonyoung raised his now free hand to hold on to Mingyu's t-shirt right beside his other hand. He'd never felt so weak and useless before; unable to do anything but sob whilst Mingyu was left having to fight for answers on his own.
