The venue was filled with hundreds of guests who were conversing, laughing and enjoying the awards ceremony. Daisy ran her hand down the front of her dress, smoothing out any creases there may have been, just in case someone noticed her standing at the back of the room. She sent a small smile over to Carlos and Linda who had stepped out of the kitchen to watch the final performance of the night and the winner of Most Sold Album.

The lights dimmed, and the chattering died down as almost everyone turned their attention to the stage as the music began. Daisy couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as she watched Carlos and Linda bob their head to the music, out of sync.

Daisy stepped back to lean against the wall, but was stopped by a hand being placed on the small of her back. "I think you need eyes in the back of your head," the husky voice of Kyle Rhodes, whispered in her ear.

"Sorry," Daisy murmured, stepping to her right and leaning her back against the wall. "Its been a long day. I didn't spill your drink, did I? Congratulations on the Best Newcomer Award. You deserve it," she glanced sideways and saw a hint of amusement fall across Kyle's features as he studied her intently. She could feel the heat rise from the base of her neck and settle on her cheeks.

"If you did, I wouldn't mind. Thanks, it's nice to know the fans are still there after six years. I, we, me and the boys, just wanted to say it's the best BRITS we've been to." Kyle replied taking a swing from his glass which, to Daisy, smelt like gin. Her hazel eyes sparkled at the compliment. "It was nice meeting you..."

"Daisy."

"Daisy," he nodded, took a sip of his drink and walked back to his table.

Daisy was left with the smell of his cologne, sandalwood and amber, and a coy smile on her face. Her eyes lingered on Kyles's back as he shimmied through the crowd. The smile on her face didn't fade as she watched him sit down on his table and whisper into someone's ear. She surprised herself at how calm and professional she had been throughout the night. Even though she wasn't a Kyle Rhodes or Five Ways fan, she was sure that someone else in her situation would have been flustered by his good looks or celebrity status. She shook her head slightly and pushed herself off the wall as the main lights came on and the music stopped.

She blinked repeatedly and observed as people started moving from their tables. Some to congratulate the winners, others to get another beverage before the bar closed and others to leave for home or the after party. She couldn't help but grin at the events success as she watched The Spice Girls head over to the Instagram wall and take some photos. She had hoped that the exposure from the BRITS and their celebrity guests would help Carlos and Linda's business boom. She headed towards kitchen, weaving in and out of guests and avoiding the chairs that people had just abandoned in the middle of the room.

The kitchen still smelled like sweet treats and Daisy spotted some profiteroles on the side, untouched. She picked one up and popped it into her mouth, the chocolate and the cream tantalised her taste buds and she let a small groan of pleasure escape her mouth. She ran the tips of her fingers over her pink lips to make sure that there was no chocolate remaining.

Daisy walked over to the table that was covered by roses, lilies, rhododendrons, gypsophilia and lavender. Unfortunately, these flowers were spares, just in case some of the flowers got damaged in transit or whilst setting up. She bent down and placed her hand under the table, feeling for her bag. Wrapping her hand around the leather strap, she pulled the bag out, stood up and placed it on her shoulder. She felt someone's body heat radiating from behind her and turned around slowly.

Jake smiled, his green polo shirt tight on his biceps. "You're looking tired Dais."

"I am, I'm also starving. Have you tried one?" she asked, nodding her head towards the profiteroles.
