Rock listened as professor oobleck zipped around his classroom at a break neck speed saying "Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution more popularly known as the Faunus Warhumankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie." he stopped to take a sip from his mug "Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why, the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day!" he zoomed around the classroom before coming to a stop once again and taking another sip from his mug "Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?"
Rock looked around, with anger in his eyes, and watched as most of the faunus students raised their hands. If there was one thing rock had come to hate, it was a bully.
"Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence!" professor oobleck continues taking another sip from his mug "I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War?"
Weiss brought her hand up to answer "Yes?" professor oobleck asked
"The battle at Fort Castle!" weiss answered
"Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?" oobleck asked the classroom
Rock raised a paper with the answer but was ignored when jaune suddenly yelled "hey!"
"Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?" professor oobleck asked zooming in front of jaune
"Uhhhh... The answer... The advantage... that the Faunus......had over that guy's stuff...Uhh... Binoculars!" rock face Palmed at jaune's answer
While Jaune looks pleased with his answer, the class laughed at him and Oobleck zoomed back to the front of the class sipping from his mug. Pyrrha sighs and slaps a hand to her forehead as Cardin pounds his fist on his desk while chortling.
"Very funny, Mr. Arc! Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!" professor oobleck asked zooming back to jaune's desk
"Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier." Cardin said swelling with pride
You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?" pyrrha asked as oobleck shook his head at Cardin's answer
"What? You got a problem?" Cardin asked
"No, I have the answer! It's night vision. Many Faunus are known to have nearly-perfect sight in the dark." pyrrha responded to professor oobleck's question as Cardin growled
"General Lagune was inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured." Blake says before tuning to Cardin "Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure."
Cardin stood up from his seat fist clenched "Mr. Winchester! Please take your seat." Jaune laughed at Cardin's torment until professor oobleck zoomed up to his desk again and said "You and Mr. Arc can both see me after class for additional readings."
Rock walked out of the classroom, he walked over to the bullhead landing zone and asked for a ride to vale
On his ride to vale Rock looked out the window of the bullhead until he saw something that looked vaguely familiar to him, under one of the ships seats. but it wasn't the good familiar, when he looked at this object he got the sense that something was coming and it wasn't good
It was small about the size of his index finger, and the symbol on the side why did it make him feel uneasy?

And there it lay like it was meant for him just waiting, was it a message for him? Who brought it? How did nobody notice it?
