Azula rushes in the room, her small legs bringing her in tiny strides.
Ersa is at (Y/n)'s side as a small puff of fire erupts from her hand. While other children within the Fire Nation would be excited, (Y/n) was not. It seemed her older sister would take that job instead.
"She can bend!" Azula exclaims, looking at her younger sister with wide eyes.
The younger girl pouts, waving her hand off, the slight sting still evident on her small hand. She turns to her older sister, her eyes wide with surprise.
"What?"
Ersa smiles, patting her daughters head affectionately.
"You can firebend, dear." Ersa states, her eyes calm and gentle.
(Y/n) sighs, wiping her hand on her skirt as she starts to walk towards the door. She huffs slightly as she stares at the door, her unburnt hand lingering over the doorknob.
"Azula, where is big brother?"

She liked to spend her free time with her older brother. Although she had a great bond with both of her siblings, she favored Zuko a bit more. It was mainly because ever since (Y/n) was able to bend her older sister had begun trying to train her. Saying something about fighting in the war once they were older.
(Y/n) had no interest in such things, especially when she could just do origami or drink tea.
Was she lazy?
Just a bit.
Zuko never bothered her about it, so she just liked hanging around him more than her sister.
"(Y/n)!"
Azula's voice was loud among the quiet of the garden. It was rare to have the garden to themselves. Usually Mai and Ty Lee would be traipsing around with Azula.
The girl stomps up to them, her eyes on both (Y/n) and Zuko.
"What do you want Azula?"
Azula smirks, her hand grabbing (Y/n)'s wrist as Ty Lee and Mai come running over.
"Mom says that you and (Y/n) have to play with us!" Azula states, Ersa appears behind the girls.
"It'll be good for you guys to bond."

She was never a fan of playing with her sister. It made her feel bad to see Mai and Ty Lee to be tortured by her sister. Although Zuko was the one who spoke up about it most of the time.
"Girls suck!" Zuko suddenly bursts into the room as Ersa is sitting with (Y/n).
The woman was reading a scroll that Iroh had sent. Unlike all the others, it wasn't a good one.
By that (Y/n) meant it had nothing interesting within it. Just information on the dumb war.
"Azula isn't that bad, is she?" Ersa jokes, patting her sons head.
Zuko puffs out his cheeks and turns his attention to a bored looking (Y/n).
"Tell her how evil Azula is! She sees it all of the time!"
Zuko plops down next to his youngest sister, his eyes staring with annoyance.
"Azula is evil, isn't she?"
Not wanting to get in any kind of trouble, (Y/n) only hands her brother a pastry.

She had been hearing a strange noise coming from a certain bush within the garden ever since her mother dragged her out here. It was soft, almost sounding like a whimper.
The young girl, curiosity getting the better of her, stalked up to the bush, hoping her brother and mother didn't notice her absence. As she approaches, the whimpering becomes a bit louder.
It was an animal, definitely.
Before she knows it, (Y/n) is at the bush and she's pushing the leaves apart to see what was making the noise. Zuko apparently noticed that she left, he was suddenly behind her.
"Well, What is it?" Zuko asks, looking over his sisters shoulder.
She shrugged, pulling several vines and thorns off of the small fuzzy creature. As soon as it's free, it lets out a tiny bark and jumps into (Y/n)'s arms, licking her nose in a way of saying thank you.
Zuko made a grossed out sound while his sister simply giggled.
"It's a wolf."
Ersa places a hand on her daughters shoulder, turning the girl around.
"Can I keep her?"
It was a girl, apparently.
"I suppose. What's her name?"
(Y/n) thinks for a second, rubbing under the wolf's chin.
"Inanna!"

"He should have known better. It's his own fault!"
She could hear Azula speaking to both Mai and Ty Lee. It was about Zuko, she knew that much. He was gone and no one would tell her why.
She had first lost her mother, then her brother.
What next?
Inanna whines softly, pressing her wet nose to (Y/n)'s hand, trying to comfort her.
(Y/n) weaves her fingers through the wolf's black fur.
"We'll just have to find out ourselves."
