Run. That was the only word racing through Josh's mind. Just Run. He knew if he got caught it would be the end. His career. His life. Gone. Josh always followed the rules. He was an Eagle Scout and straight A student and. He never complained about hard work at school or at home. and even got into a prestigious tech college. How did it all go wrong? Why was Krem City Police Department hunting him down?

One answer. Tom Salec. Josh Knew he shouldn't have trusted him. He couldn't afford the nice college he got accepted into. Tom offered an easy job for some quick cash. All Josh needed was to drive him somewhere. Innocent enough.

When they arrived at their destination, Tom had Josh park in a dark, dirty alley. Tom got out of the car and told Josh to wait. Wait he did.

Not too long after, Tom returned in a hurry, bags in his hands, and sweat dripping down the side of his neck. The panic in Tom's eyes made Josh freeze. Part of Josh wanted to drive away, And he probably should have. Another part told him to stay. Lights and sirens Two police cars pulled in on both sides of the alley. Tom grabbed the car handle, but stopped moving for a second. then A moment later his body hit the car hard and he fell over trying to grasp his breath. Josh didn't wait any longer. He got out of the car and started running. He jumped over a rusty fence and through a small hole in a large gate. Only, he didn't fit. He struggled to get through and caught part of his shirt on a loose piece of fence. He realized he was trapped. He backed out of the part in the fence, tore his shirt loose, and turned around to face police officers, guns in hand. Josh raised his hands in the air. The rest of the scene followed in quick succession: Josh tackled to the ground, cuffed, read his Miranda rights, abruptly raised to his feet, and marched. As the police officers walked behind him the world seemed to slow down. He could see his childhood when innocence surrounded him now he was being handcuffed and yelled at. His head was shoved down to fit inside of the police car. He was quite tall with brown hair and green eyes. The police officer shut the door and the car rolled forward. He knew Everything would be different he wasn't that innocent kid he used to know. But he didn't know who'd be waiting for him at the station. A Man named J.
