Mina and I have been a couple for 2 years now. Of course we just made it public once their dating ban was lifted. Although Mina would always introduce me to their fans as her "bestfriend", it was pretty understandable. I don't wanna ruin my girlfriend's reputation and also TWICE's. At first we were scared because of how the fans might react especially Mina stans if they find out their idol is dating someone with the same gender. But we were glad that they accepted it and admitted they ship us from the very start.
Mina is actually the type of girlfriend who is not fond of showing her feelings. No one can blame her. She's a bit of an introvert and the most quiet member of the group. But I never mind. I'm the most expressive between us and it's fine if she's not the same as me. But she's expressive when it's just the two of us. She always like cuddling, showering me with kisses and hugs and would always take silly photos of us. Well mostly me.
Although I've been noticing something different from her these past few days. I don't know if it's just me or the other members have noticed it too but she's been so clingy with me. Not just when it's the two of us but even in public. It's like seeing a whole lot new of Mina.

*Flashback*
"Y/N-aaaah~ come here please." Mina called out to me as she pat on the empty seat between her and Jihyo. I chuckled as I went on stage and sat between them. Of course this isn't the first time she called me onstage ever since our relationship became public.
Fan#1: MINA!! DO YOU HAVE ANY TMI's? EITHER IT'S ABOUT YOU OR Y/N?
Mina looked at me and grinned as she grabbed the mic.
"Actually... Y/N hit her head on the roof of the van countless times while we were making our way here. Oh and she also wore her new shoes earlier on the way here with the price tag still hanging on the laces!" Mina said, causing ONCEs to laugh.
I grabbed Jihyo's mic.
"Yah! You promised me you won't tell anyone about that!" I pouted and she still kept laughing until she did something I never expected.
She cupped my cheeks and make me look at her and she pressed her lips on mine. It's not a simple peck. I mean yeah we kiss a lot but this is the first time she kissed me in front of her members and in front of their fans.
Everyone started teasing us as she pull away and smile and kissed my cheek.
"It's okay, babe. It's just fun to share it to them. Right, guys?!" She laughed when ONCEs agreed with her.
"Holy mother of— that was the first time Mina kissed Y/N in public!!" Nayeon said making everyone agree.
"I kiss Y/N all the time. But only when you're not around." She stuck her tongue out.
*End of flashback*
Ever since that day she's been open about her feelings. But what's more surprising is she's become super clingy. Even more clingy than Sana if you ask me.
They have 2 weeks off before they resume for their world tour and we decided to go to a private resort where we can enjoy ourselves.
The girls were busy playing amongst each other while Jihyo and I are grilling some meat.
"I've been noticing... Mina became so clingy with you these past few days. Well more like weeks." Jihyo started.
"So it wasn't just me, huh. I mean the only one who noticed this change from her." I said as I took a sip from my soda.
"Do you know why?" Jihyo asked and shrugged.
"That makes the two of us. Everyone is wondering too. Maybe you should ask her." Jihyo suggested.
"She started to be like that ever since she kissed me publicly on that fansigning." Jihyo laughed as soon as I brought the memory up. We started bickering about how embarrassing my reaction was. And what made it more funny is when Jihyo imitated my reaction when Mina kissed me.
"Yah! Hajimaaa~! You're so creepy when you try to imitate me. Geezus." I said and laughed.
When we were done grilling the meat, we called them over. Mina being the clingy girlfriend she's being at the moment, she was feeding me the whole time. I also did the same to her, making the rest of the girls go salty. 😂
When everyone was done eating, they went for a swim while me and Mina decided to take a seaside stroll while looking at the stars with our hands intertwined.
"Jagiya?" I called.
"Hmm?"
"I couldn't help but notice you've been so clingy with me these past few days."
"D-don't you like it?" She looked at me with sadness. Awww~ ❤️
"No, no. It's not that. I'm just kind of shocked to see you being like this."
"I just want to be a clingy girlfriend for once." She shrugged.
"Is something bothering you, Mina?" I asked her again.
"N-no." She stuttered and looked away.
"Liar. Come on. Tell me what's bothering you." I stopped and faced her.
She sighed before talking.
"I read an article online. It's about answering why people tend to leave their partners in their relationships and one of those reason is that it's the lack of showing affection towards their partner which I can relate to. You know I'm not fond of showing my feelings towards you in public. And I don't want you to think that I'm ashamed of having you as my girlfriend. I was scared of you leaving me for someone else just because I can't show you the same amount of love when we're in public. So I searched online for tips on how to be a more affectionate girlfriend and one of those solutions is to be a clingy girlfriend, to show people publicly how I feel so that's what I did. I've become clingy, and more open so that you won't leave me. I can't dare living without you. I'm scared that you might get bored of me being a quiet and introverted girlfriend so I tried to change it." She explained.
I laughed a bit and hugged her tight enough.
"Baka (idiot). Why would you even think I'll leave you, pingu? I won't leave you for someone else, Mina. Not in a million years. I'll always be by your side. Even if you're a clingy girlfriend or not, I would still love you more and more as days, weeks, months and years goes by, okay? I know you love me as much as I love you even if you don't usually show it. Looking at your eyes is more than enough to tell me that." I smiled and cupped her cheeks.
"I love you, Mina. My clingy penguin. Always and forever." I pecked her lips and kissed her forehead.
"I love you too, my Y/N/N~ always and forevermore." She smiled back as she pulled me for a deep and loving kiss.
"I love it too when you're being clingy. Keep doing that." I chuckled as we pulled away.
"Whatever." She chuckled as she leaned her forehead on my chest.
